This was a perfect fit for the Animal Kingdom, and it will likely be the most immersive land you will ever see. This will be a hit, just some will refuse to give it a chance. But the majority will....Honestly I am a little worried how crowded it will be for my first visit after it opens even if it is months after the official opening.
People are going to be shocked by the size of the crowds that flock here, especially at night. Some people might not remember the story but they'll remember that it was a stunning place that a lot of people would die to go see. It's going to change the game and that's exactly what they designed it to do.

Especially for a few Avatar fans that wished they could visit Pandora. Hopefully this can finally put that to rest once it finally opens.

I am excited as it will add to DAK's nighttime lineup of things to do. I have been to DAK in June and July this year. The ToL awakenings and the sunset safari are great. The Tiffins restaurant and Nomad Lounge are incredible and a place that I recommend for everyone. Where they fell short is on the additional entertainment. African dance troops, acrobats, etc. are nice, but it isn't enough. I am certain that once the actual nighttime show RoL debuts, that will definitely boost my opinion of DAK at night, but right now, with multiple areas closed - animal trails, Rafiki's, the wildlife train - the park needs more...period.

Pandora will definitely give the park more of what it needs: high capacity rides of excellent quality that are open all day and night located within a spectacularly immersive environment. If you now have Discovery Island, Harambe, Anandapur/Serka Zong, Dinoland, coupled with a true nighttime show AND Pandora, that starts to equal a much better nighttime lineup of attractions.

But they still need to add more. :D

Pandora: World of Blue People, replaces a MnG area. Excited!
It will be unique to WDW. Excited!
It is a much-needed addition to WDW's best park! Excited!
Avatarland will be an immersive land with 2 new attractions! Excited!
This is the first time an E-ticket has been added to WDW since 2006. Excited!
The land basically glows in the dark! Excited!

So, I voted Meh.;)

I assume you mean a world class E Ticket dark ride as opposed to the night time yoga class on the Discovery River?
Yup :)
I wish they could add a dark ride based on Jungle Book, Lion King or better yet, an ORIGINAL attraction. AK is the perfect park for IP-free E-tickets. I would love an AK inspired version of a Mystic Manor type ride that would fit into AK's natural environment.
I'd like to see DinoRama go in favor of Ice Age megafauna.

Hey, Mr. big words. I congratulate you on the use of the word - megafauna. At first, I thought that meant "super plants!"
I agree bigger is better and anything is better that Dino-Rama. However short of adding the Excavator ride, I don't know what would help Dino-carnival.

It's hard for me to be excited when I'm not a fan of the movie and I know little to nothing about the rides. They've shown video and art for the attractions in Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land which is years away yet nothing on the E-ticket for Avatarland.

my conspiracy theory...
since the construction area is pretty much hidden they are going to give as little info as possible. i said when this construction started it would be the most secretive project Disney has ever done. Even now that we can start to see the finishing touches on the floating mtns they put trees near RF cafe to block our view

This is exactly one of the reasons why I am so excited for this project. We have been able to see the obvious eye candy - the mountains - being built. But even those are partially obscured now by some new trees that have been planted. Ever since joining this site I find that I love the insider information; but at times, I actually find myself regretting that I know as much as I do. When I finally get to go on the new ride, I feel like I know everything about it ahead of time. Not with this expansion. It has been kept more under wraps and I appreciate that. I have no doubt that in time more art will be released as we get closer (as we should hopefully be within one year of this debuting).

I have always said that the internet has ruined anticipation. Videos, photos, interviews, reviews, websites, etc. are so tempting that you almost can't help but check stuff out ahead of time. I always contrast today back to when I was a kid. I remember when the Empire Strikes Back came out, the level of surprise to almost everyone when it was revealed that Darth Vader was Luke's father was great. That is hard to make happen anymore, to the point that people complain about the level of secrecy a director like J.J. Abrams maintains about his movies. This instant gratification that permeates society now is hard to turn off with most things. So in this case, I am glad that they are taking this approach.
