Everything is Princess oriented now

Perhaps all the princess stuff is down to the exceptionaly high volume of old Queens at WDW

Many of the old Queens I know at WDW are as fond of the pirates as they are the princesses- maybe more so! :ROFLOL:

One thing I always loved as a weird little boy were the Disney villains and the more horrific elements of all the dark rides in Fantasyland.

Also, I was obsessed with the Haunted Mansion and there used to be a great little cart just outside of it that sold scary masks and tee-shirts and stuff. I remember using my "souvenir money" to buy a fantastic old skull mask and a tee-shirt with the hitch-hiking ghosts.

I was so disappointed when I went this past year and the cart only had Jack Skellington stuff you could get anywhere. I'd still love a spooky HM tee that's related to the attraction and not the movie and I'm guessing Disney could deviate away from some of the Princess and Pirate stuff just by looking around at what they still have available to them. I also think that merchandising stuff from the Haunted Mansion could be more gender neutral and appeal to all the weird little boys and girls out there. :lookaroun

The real fairystories were quite scarry till they were Disneyfied. Would love to see a land for Villains added where the attractions could be that bit darker and aimed at a teen plus audience
