Everest seating

So there are no chances of seeing over-the-head/shoulder restraints for EE?

Why would they use them anyway? It's also entirely possible to add lapbars to RocknRollercoaster too. Remeber guys, this ride is the first to show off the new track and trains by Vekoma.

Almost...
As I noted in post 15, they have used a very similar track lately on their junior coasters.
But it is the first thrill coaster to use it, for sure, if you don't count the Booster Bikes.

Is there any reason Disney doesn't design coasters that seat 4 across? Too much of a glitch in the theming? Too "Six Flags"? Or do you just need a huge track to compensate for larger cars?

I would just think it would be something good to increase capacity on what will be, without question, a very popular ride.

Here's the deal...
Almost every 4-across coaster in existence is manufactured by a company called Bollinger & Mabilliard or B&M.
Disney has never worked with B&M for several reasons, the biggest of which is the fact that B&M is not known for working well with outside design firms.
For instance, Universal wanted a launch for Hulk, a B&M, but the company refused to build a launch. Universal had to buy the coaster, then engineer and install their own launch system.

Disney has worked well in the last few years with Vekoma and Intamin, two companies who build only 2-across coasters.

Arrow did develop a 4 across train but it has never been used. (it also had around 30 rows).

But anyway, Everest's track is huge but the fact is that it is standard size. Both BTMRR and Space Mountain have smaller than normal track.

I'm glad to hear someone say this. I've been disappointed because the pictures don't make it look that big. And it is apparently difficult to compare this to ToT. Hopefully I will make it down to FL sometime soon and see it in person, although before 2006 seems out of the question right now. Any other thoughts on how the pics make it look for those of us not down there?
ToT looks like a shack compared to it...It's a tall, rather thin building. This is a MOUNTAIN. Although I'm sure the measurements say otherwise, it certainly FEELS a lot bigger and more substantial, even as the pile of steel it is right now. ToT is big, but EE is massive.

Yeah, and the last time I saw it, it was back in April. The mountain has put on a lot more weight since then. I am really excited to see it when it is finished. When I first saw the pics I was thinking, "is that it, man I could through a stone over it". Then when I walked up to it, I thought the mountain was going to eat me. I wasn't all that impressed until I saw it.
