Slede, too funny.. I just thought maybe they would have released a picture at least.
I will be very surprised if a picture of the Yeti is officially released. My guess is that it will be kept a secret till the attractions starts cycling guests/cast.

Meh, I don't really care for it...
Glad I'm not the only one. I was hoping for something that looked more Asian inspired. But, whatever. I don't usually enjoy attractions because of their logos, anyway. If the attraction is up-to-par, that's all I care about.

Jeeez...I wish they'd pick a logo and stick with it!

Oh, well...maybe my shirt with the E logo will be a collector's item. Sweet.

I personally don't like it...they can keep the evil eyes in there, but otherwise, the logo looks cheap...that and I would have preferred the subtitle to remain, "Legend of the Forbidden Mountain." That sets an eerie tone, which sets very well for this type of ride, but "Mission Himilayas"? It's sort of abrupt, and doesn't call attention to the ride...it doesn't strike out as mysterious or a foreboding theme. It doesn't do justice to the ride...except for the fact that Imageneering is going to Everest, and me thinks that this ride will be VERY detailed and VERY elaborate, so I still give it my push, but the logo and name needs to be changed.

"Mission Himalayas" is the title of the scientific expedition the Imagineers and a conservation group are going on this August to learn more about the areas surrounding the real Everest, the plants that grow there and the animals that inhabit the region. Its both a true scientific exploration as the area has not ever been fully explored, as well as helping Imagineers get that last bit of detail to put into the attraction. Animal Planet/DiscoveryChannel/Travel Channel will follow the expedition to capture their findings on tape, probably for a new special. All findings will also be displayed at Conservation Station when its completed. For more info click here and scroll down a little: http://www.wdwmagic.com/everest_pressrelease.htm

Don't worry, its NOT a new subtitle for the ride. That still remains Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. This pic from the Orlando Sentinel shows that subtitle with the logo: EE logo with subtitle

I think the logo is pretty neat. I like how the V was turned into the mountain. I like the snowy/icy look to it. I think the red Yeti eyes are also a nice touch.

I believe that it is still "Legend of the Forbidden Mountain." "Mission Himilayas" is just the name of Imagineering's expedition to the Himilayas coming up in the Fall.

Me too. I wish it was kind of an aged looking, with the mountain in the background.
