Everest Height Restriction?

Is there an official height restriction confirmed yet for EE? I've seen 44 and 48 inches on various sites but didn't see anything on the official one. Anybody who's been lucky enough to get a sneak peek think little kids (5 and 8) would have a problem with it? I've watched the videos that are out there but you can't see the big drop very well. In fact, from what I can see it looks a lot like Big Thunder which they love - just how "thrilling" is it compared to BTMR?

On the signs at EE it says 44 inches, so it's pretty official, bur it could always change whenever, as can all height restrictions.

44 is the cutoff at the current time

I love it when I come on here to post a question and find that someone has read my mind.

My 5 year old is 47" so I'm glad to hear she could do EE if she wanted. She won't - but she is gearing up her courage for BTMR. She's tall but she's still 5. My 7 y.o. niece on the other hand will be thrilled. She's also 47".

Glad I could have the answer all ready for you Nicole, you should be careful about getting her to try Big Thunder 'cause once you do you'll have to ride it a dozen times a trip! My youngest can't get enough of it and at 40" it's the first one he made it on. There's no really big drops but a lot of fun twists and turns, if you request the first car it's especially mild so if you can talk her into it it's worth telling the CM who's loading!

Can anybody weigh in on how younger ones might handle EE?

I would not take young children on it.. unless they are the most daring and fearless. I saw many a child crying after the ride was over. It does have scarey elements to it that would frightne most girls, and some boys.

Good to know about the front car. As of right now her favorite ride is Goofy's Barnstormer (she actually doesn't know its name, just calls it "my favorite ride") and frankly I'd rather ride BTMR a few times than GB. However, my DD is funny and she won't usually ride on something twice in the same day. She has a "BTDT" attitude which is sometimes strange. Aaah, kids.
