ever been asked if you're tired of going to WDW every year?

we usually go to WDW once a year, & sometimes asked by family, friends, coworkers "don't you get tired of going there every year?"
we do take little getaway trips here & there, but save our big trip to disney.
some people understand, for others that haven't been there, I tell them they have to go there & experience it themselves to understand it.
most importantly, we go because we always have a good time down there. brings back old memories of being a kid while making new ones, & you still feel like a kid, maybe acting like one too.

My tongue in cheek response is usually - "well there are over 150 restaurants onsite, and I haven't been to even 1/2 of them...so I HAVE to keep going back!" That usually keeps them quiet....

All the time!!! I just say don't worry about it.. its what makes me happy! I shouldn't have to explain myself to people on why i love WDW so much. I enjoy coming on here to talk with you all who get it! I must admit though.. I do not vacation anywhere else and that is where the questioning really comes from. I don't like to drink so going to an island to relax on a beach and drink all day is not fun to me. I would love to see other places but I can do that in Epcot!!! Lol Constantly being immersed in the Disney Bubble is where I'd rather go on vacation. I get it, it is exhausting and has become complicated but there is no where else I'd rather be than WDW. It is my home away from home.

I'm starting to get that from people...but it doesn't bother me. They clearly haven't been there, or don't get it at all. I love the Disney Bubble...I'm always thinking about it, always wishing I could be there. Once a year may turn in to twice a year, and if that means I can't really go anywhere else, so be it. :)

All the time! At first it bothered me, but now I really don't care what people think, it is somewhere my husband and I both enjoy traveling to. This will be our third trip together, in 3 years (my 6th all together).

I try to explain that disney has something for everyone, my husband and I can experience world class dining, enjoy shopping, out of this world entertainment, relax by the pool and ride rides, there are not to many other places in the world that you can do all that in one trip. And even going so many times, there is still things we haven't seen or done yet!

I find people often say "it's so expensive" or "waste of money", and I usually respond that it's my money and we usually do free dining which saves a ton. Often the people that argue are those who go on cruises (non disney) or to all inclusive resorts in Cuba/Dominican/Mexico.. Yes I've done those so I can compare and judge, and prefer disney, where the people that are judging often have never been , or didn't prepare for the trip and "didn't see anything" and "waited hours for rides". I understand disney is not for everyone, but I'm not bashing your vacation plans so I don't expect other to do the same to mine!

Every.Single.Family.Gathering. I have an uncle and an aunt (not married) who ask me this every time I see them! They like to bring up our Disney vacations right before politics. :O The funny thing is, my aunt hasn't been on a vacation in as long as I can remember and my uncle goes on the same cruise ship to the same location every single year. No, I do not get tired of my Disney vacations. Like others have pointed out, there is always something new to do!

We are finishing annual passes up next month with a week trip. It will be 9 trips in 12 months (2.5 hours away) and 3 were weeks. WE HAVE BEEN ASKED- and asked, and asked... While not renewing our passes for economical reasons, we are already dreading not have another trip planned.

You either get it or you don't.

I get asked this a lot from my husband's family. We live in Maryland about 3 hours from Ocean City where most of the family spends their vacation, every year. They can spend anywhere from $2,500 - 4,500 for a week for a place where they have to drive everywhere, the boardwalk rides are only for little kids, the Atlantic Ocean is awful to swim in and the crowds are about the same as Disney in the summer. My response is why do they go there every year. At least my family are also loves Disney so they understand.
I live in MD too. Never have understood the appeal of Ocean City (the commercials are enough to drive me crazy). Definitely don't see how they can spend an entire week there. We go to Hilton Head for the beach.

We get it all the time, espically because we have five children 10 and under. Like an above poster said I think is a round about way of asking how we can afford it. I also think many feel like WDW is a one and done place and I can understand that, to me a Cruise was a one and one thing. I respond that it is the only vacation when I don't do dishes, cook, clean or worry about everyone being happy. We are happy just being there...
Truthfully our beach vacations are far more stressful for my Husband and me: the sand everywhere, constant supervison with the ocean and pools, keeping all happy with age approitate activities, trying to spend time with each kid while keeping other kids above water, making lunches for picnic on the beach, packing a monster size cooler for snack and drinks that we have to lug about, etc...Once I explain that most understand.

My best friend wondered used to ask me that same question. Then she went with me. She'd never stayed on site before (we stayed at Pop) hadn't done a lot of TS meals (we did one every day, sometimes two a day) and just altogether hadn't done as much. Then she went with me, and we just did so much over those nine days, stuff that she didn't even realize was there, and since she hadn't been 4 years, so much has opened. We had such a blast that we are already talking about doing another trip down there. She hasn't questioned me on it since.

If someone asks me that, usually my answer is just, "No." Sometimes they'll press me for more, and I just say, "I enjoy it, I don't get tired of it, so no."
