Evening Extra Magic Hours Over the Summer

I am a frequent Disney world visitor and I am just questioning why the extra magic hours over the summer are so much earlier then they are in the winter like now in February. I would think the parks would be open later during the summer and not the winter. I can recall years where at 2am i was running between splash mountain and space mountain. This question arises from the July 2015 operating hours becoming available. I am visiting Disney in July.

The currently released hours are provisional and will be extended closer to the time.

Other than the opening time and EMH days, nearly everything changes from initial release.
