well... I'm in a constructive mood following my change of plans (long story short, I'm supposed to be in California right now, but the forces that be have changed my plans)... so I went to Disneyworld!!!

Anyway, I had a lovely time, lovely dinner at the Crystal Palace, lovely alcohol at the California Grille, and lovely chicanery on the back roads of WDW... but that's not what I'm here to yap about. You want all killer and no filler...

Seriously, though. I cannot believe how different that 20k area is gonna look when it's done. I've lived my whole life seeing one thing there, amd now, it's gonna be a big grassy nole with some shrubs. VERY wierd looking!

Those 20K pics are amazing. I can't believe how much dirt has been brought in to fill that lagoon. It seems like it was only last week when it 10 feet deep with a dirt floor. It seems like they are working very quickly all of the sudden. Is ther maybe an announcement possibly coming up having to do with the site. I thought I remember reading a thread about an annual WDW press release done in late September or October. Can someone confirm this?

wow, the amount of fill dirt is incredible. that had to be roughly 10-15 feet tall and as wide as the water area. i wonder if the grabbed some from the EE site. DAK and MK scratching eachothers back....................... sibiling love.

Is it me or does the dirt they are bringing in for 20k look like they are building it up quite a bit?

And were the Spectros Girls holding the lighted rope they always carry, I can see something Red where the pole should be, so i am sure someone told them to go walk around.

I think it's sad that they demolished WDW's Subs just as DL's subs are actually starting to be developed into something worth while. If it had just held out a little bit longer.

selfishly, taking the old ride system and adding Nemo AA's, hhhmmmmmmm no thanks. im glad there is potential for something better.

realistically, i think that the it is a positive thing for DL to have the only sub attraction. WDW doesnt have a problem (compared to DL) of attracting guest since it has so many other parks/ attractions, but maybe DL needs something that WDW doesnt have............. just to get that 2 out of 10 guest that would travel all the way there for a new attraction.
