Euros in Disney?

Can Euros be exchanged anywhere in Disney World? My daughter just returned to the states and will be going to Disney with her senior class. I have no idea where to exchange Euros for dollars, but then I thought, ''Maybe she can use them on her trip.'' The problem is, they are not staying on property (I figured resort front desks would be the best bet). Is there any chance she could go to city hall on Main Street and exchange her money?

They can exchange currency at any of the park's Guest Services locations. All the parks have one both inside and outside the gate. There can also exchange currency at DTD Guest Services locations.

Some large hotels that cater to international travlers can do this as well, but it's sometimes at a fee.

Keep in mind that converting Euros to dollars in the US will usually be done at a terrible exchange rate. Check the rates to know what you should expect, but unless you are talking about hundreds of Euros, may be better off to just hold them for any potential future trip, trade them for cash with someone else who is going, etc.

If anyone may go to europe again I would keep them for another trip! I've even researched trying to find the best way to buy euros as an investment haha. Wait...I'll buy your euros! Lol

You will be paying an exhange fee twice! This is why they say to spend all of you foreign currency while abroad lol.

This was a once in a lifetime trip (or at least once in the next decade). Also, we are only talking about 40 euros. I do apprieciate the suggestion though. I can ask around at work and see if anyone would like to make an even trade.

You may get a close to even trade from someone you know. Right now the dollar is very strong against the Euro, almost even at 1 EUR = 1.07 USD. It had been closer to 1:1.35 a year ago.

Travelex (the ones at the airports) usually has like a 20%+ markup. For instance they are currently selling 840 EUR for ~1000 USD, and the buyback is usually no better. So for your 40 EUR you might get 30 USD back.

Holding on to my Euros. Last June when I went, the exchange rate was so much higher. I believe the $1 was $1.50 in Euros. I didn't cash them in when I came back as they had fallen a little so thought I would wait. Hah! Fooled me. Oh well. I Guess I will just have to go back to Europe to use them. lol
