It is not called Euro Disney anymore...It is called Disneyland Paris Resort...and there is a whole separate forum room for it. Go to the Forums page and scroll down until you get to Disneyland Paris resort. You will find everything you need to know.

I would say go for it. I spent a few hours at Disneyland Paris and I loved it. You can't really compare it to WDW, but Space Mountain was amazing and won't you love being able to tell people you've been to Disney in France? Have fun!

Actually Its Disneyland Resort Paris, but thats being a bit picky.

I would say you should definitly go to DLP. It has IMO the best of the 5 Magic Kingdom style parks.

Also known as Disneyland Parc depending on where you are in Paris (all the RER signs say Disneyland Parc)...I agree he should go...but my point was there is an entire forum devoted to it where he will get better information than in this forum.

As mentioned, this post will probably be moved to the DLP forum, but if you have a chance, go for it. Not sure about a few hours though - Disneyland Parc is huge! If you are really time limited with a one day pass make sure you try Phantom Manor, Big Thundermountain, PotC, IASW and Space Mountain - the Parisian versions leave all the others standing!

Yoy may also catch a soft opening of Buzz lightyear too, and the Fantasyland Dark Rides are worth it if you have the time.

Hiya Martin, do you know why they chose to call Haunted Mansion at DLP, Phantom Manor as opposed to the name it has been given at all the other resorts?

I agree with the name change at DLP from Tomorrowland to Discoveryland, allthough when I am at WDW I love the name Tomorrowland. Discoveryland fits this area better due to the fact that many aspects of tomorrow have now been discovered.

Back to origional topic, definately visit Disneyland Resort Paris, if I had to choose between the two parks there I would pick Disneyland Parc as opposed to Walt Disney Studios as feel WDS still lacks something, I don't know what that something is but it is missing.

I may be mistaken but I have a feeling Phantom was originally a french word.. plus I think Phantom is associtated with ghosts in the majority of European Languages.

That is exactly why - "Phantom" means ghost in French and many european languages. "Haunted" has no meaning in any language in europe. The French meaning of "haunted" means "having a prediliction for" in French. That would make no sense..."having a predilection for a mansion"...so "Phantom Manor" means "Ghost House" the closest they have for a "haunted house" equivalent.
