I have a couple of questions for kcw - are you a disney equity dancer or did you do the college program? and if you did do the college program what types of roles did you perform? or if you're are equity what shows are you in?
Since she's away, I'll answer for her.

She was a CP in entertainment working as a fuzzy :)

She's an amazing dancer, but alas, lives a bit too far to commute for a regular equity position :( Boo

That is all :)

haha thanks bud

yes, sorry if I gave the impression that I was equity- I was in a show that had equity dancers in it, and asked them some questions about it, but don't claim to know everything about it!
If i ever find myself back in florida, I think I would try to get into equity, but only if I could find a way to keep my characters as well!! for now it looks like I'm gonna move to cali to go back to disney FT...

I still think you're better than some of the people who got equity contracts :zipit:

If you ask me, Disney doesn't have a hard time finding good dancers. Because the kind of dancers Disney looks for within the character department are just good dancers, not phenominal professional grade dancers, just good dancers who have good technique. And there are plenty of those out there who flock to Disney. So even if you are a good dancer, they've probably seen plenty of other good dancers and also already have plenty of good dancers employed so they don't neccesarily have room to hire another good dancer who might be in an already overpopulated height range. They'd rather hire a good dancer in a needed height range. Thus why there are a lot of good dancers put into the pool. That's just my take on it.

cp character performer

I was just curious because I am going down this fall for the cp as a character performer and was wondering what jobs were a possibility.
