Hey,
I was wondering what alcohol drink that Samatha Brown from the The Travel Channel was drinking we see toured Epooct on a review of her top things about Disney?

Gran Marnier Slush from France. It is an orange colored vodka drink. I tried it and it was VERY strong.

Where is Epoct?

I was actually there when she was filming that segment, and after they finished one of her assistants asked if anyone in the crowd wanted it (Samantha didn't actually drink it, just took it from the CM). Unfortunately, I don't like alcoholic drinks, or I could say I had Samantha Brown's Grand Marnier orange slush.

Samantha was very gracious after the filming, and stopped to pose for photos and autographs in between takes. It was a pretty dismal, rainy day, so she had to leave early for a wardrobe change.

I think I have video I took of them filming... I should find it and post it...

Actually the Grand Marnier slush is made from.... well, ... Grand Marnier (hence the name), not from vodka. However as someone else stated, they also have a Grey Goose Vodka slushie as well. Both are fantastic and yes, very strong.

Actually, on that note I have a question that maybe someone here can answer: I was just there with my brother about 3 weeks ago and when we were in France, I drank the slushies and he ordered wine from the same outdoor stand that sells the slushies. He said it was the best red wine he had ever tasted. Unfortunately neither of us thought to write it down or take a picture of the bottle. Does anyone know which red wines they sell from that stand? I think they had two different red wines, but if I heard the name, I'd remember which one it was. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

If you give me some idea of what it tasted like (fruits, tannin levels, pepper, etc - as opposed to 'delicious') I may be about to narrow it down.

(as an aside, I don't find the slush very strong. It is just about that same amount of alcohol in any one drink, it's just small)

Regular Wine
Merlot, Cabernet & Chardonnay - $5.87

Regional Wine - $6.90
Beaujolais Duboeuf (Red)
Vouvray Savion (White, Sweet)
Rosé Cotes de Provence (Blush)

Premium Wine
Cotes du Rhone J.L. Colombo (Red) - $7.98
Bordeaux Chateau Durandet (Red) - $7.98
Pouilly-Fuissé (White, Medium Dry) - $9.86

Specialty Drinks
Grand Marnier & Grey Goose Orange Slush - $8.92
Grey Goose Citron Lemonade Slush - $8.92
Nuvo Sparkling Vodka - $14.88

Champagne
Champagne Pommery - $11.88
Kir Royal (Champagne & Creme de Cassis) - $12.91

Beer
Kronenbourg 1664 (French Beer) - $6.10

Yeah I know what you mean. Unfortunately I didn't drink any because I was drinking the slush drinks instead and didn't want to mess up my palate. I'm big into wine and probably could have described it better if I'd tasted it myself obviously. He did say it was pretty full bodied and I am pretty sure he said that he ordered the Bordeaux. I see there is a Bordeaux on your list. Does that list remain fairly consistent (or at least would it be reasonably safe to assume that's what they were selling about 3 weeks ago)?

:wave:Hi it was from the France Pavilion on the outside cart called The Grand Marnier Orange Slushy. It's really delicious, if you're not a big drinker, share it with someone or you will get a buzz for sure hehehe.... It's a great drink when it's hot out for sure. :sohappy:

The lemon slush at the French Pavilion is better from what I hear. I've only had the lemon and it's quite amazing. You don't taste any liquor, yet it gets you messed up quite fast.

I had one of the slushes yesterday and it seemed strong to me too. Went back and read the sign and sure enough it has both Grand Marnier AND Grey Goose.
Didn't remember that from last time. Wonder if that is a new thing?

Hi Erin are you at Disney this week? If so I hope you're having a wonderful time. That drink is strong to me too, then again I am not a drinker I get drunk on 1/3 of a glass of wine hehehe..

Actually you're thinking of two different drinks. One has Grand Marnier and the other has Grey Goose. Both are delicious!
