You've got to be kidding. Sightlines are a legitimate issue with the show. It doesn't matter how many screens there are flacking the middle barge, people want to see the entire show and not feel like they're missing out.

A sphere is not the only possible show element that is viewable from all sides.

Also, all glory to whatever god or malefic deity folks were praying to if the barges are indeed going up in flames.

@wdwmagic Thanks for the hope. It's been a pretty sad time for classic Epcot fans. Nice to hear there might be some understanding internally of giving the park what it truly deserves.

My best guess is - The oil rigs and onion ring aren’t going anywhere. Sadly. There’s not enough time to get rid of them between the end of the 50th and debuting a new show the same year, so whatever replaces HARModious will use the same hardware and apparently some new technology also.

Harmony was ok but you walked away not feeling emotionally attached it just felt like IP blender I walked into it blind and just didn’t take anything away from it

My best guess is - The oil rigs and onion ring aren’t going anywhere. Sadly. There’s not enough time to get rid of them between the end of the 50th and debuting a new show the same year, so whatever replaces HARModious will use the same hardware and apparently some new technology also.

I would think so too. The best hope would be they don't use the central ring screen as much, going more for a circular presentation from the center.

They are the main reason the show is going away and not being updated. You can fix the show. You can’t take away the barges that aren’t at all hidden by fountains and screens.

They can do a pyro heavy show without any barges if they want.

This has been on the cards for a while now, and the new show looks very promising - wish I could say more. Be excited people! It may be the show EPCOT deserves.

Reflections of Earth 2.0 would be amazing or a revamped Illuminations. They really wasted money on that show.

That show was EXPENSIVE - no way was it planned for 1 year.

The last version of Illuminations was coming up on 20 years of service before it was replaced. Wishes was what, 13 years? If Disney is pulling a show in <2 years, assume something is afoot.

I don’t think it’s a bad show. I actually really enjoy it.

It’s just never going to win over the no IP crowd at Epcot and the hideous daytime views.
