Ok,You know that really huge pretty fountain right behind SSE and in between the two Innoventions buildings?

What's it's TRUE name?

Over the years I've heard it referred to as:

~The World Fellowship Fountain(Imagineering guidebook/other Disney publications)
~Communicore Fountain(EPCOT Center era/25th Anniversary Rededication)
~Future World Fountain(Splashtacular)
~EPCOT fountain(CM's)
~Innoventions Fountain(Epcot'94 Era)
~Millennium Fountain(Year 2000 additions)
~Fountain of Nations(Everyone)

And "Big pretty water thingy"(Man with mullet exiting what he thought was "Fast Track:lookaroun)

So what is the official name of the fountain?Has it had all these names?IF so it's most likely the most renamed object in Disney History!

Most renamed? No. Many of those names I've heard independently of each other, being that the fountain is referred to by several names but not by a single different name throughout the park's 25 years (though Millenium Fountain is obviously a temporary name). I don't however know the official name.

wdwmagic lists it as the Fountain of Nations

According to All Ears columnist Anita Answer:

http://www.allearsnet.com/aa/aa100107.htm#ques1

"On October 24, 1982, the day of the official dedication of EPCOT Center, Lillian Disney presided over the International Ceremony of the Waters. Twenty-three young people from around the globe poured water from their home countries into the World Fellowship Fountain (also known as the Innoventions Fountain, as well as the Fountain of Nations). The water pouring symbolized world unity, and was meant to reinforce the idea that EPCOT was the center of the Walt Disney World community."

Not a problem these days, but once on a trip to WDW our group split up for part of a day and set a time to meet back up at “the Epcot fountain.” Well, some people showed up at the Communicore fountain and the others showed up at the smaller fountain in the entrance plaza that had the prisms on top.

According to Disney, it's the Fountain of Nations (this name replaced CommuniCore Fountain in January of 1994). It is located in Innoventions Plaza.

Hope that helps!

I don't think it's big enough to be listed as a attraction and the Disney website lists nothing soooo....

I dunno.

I thought at some point I saw a times guide that listed the times the fountain was doing its shows... Oh well. Doesn't much matter now that we have the official name.

I always thought the Fountain of Nations was the one in front of SSE, but in relation to the front entrance. A lot smaller than the one "behind" it, mind you, but still.
