Will we continue to announce every year from now on that LoW are not returning?

In other news, Wonders of Life will not open this holiday season.
The Odyssey restaurant remains closed.
Food Rocks! will not return.
And Splashtacular will continue not being presented.

Not quite sure how apt your comparisons are given that there have been 'subtle hints' here that something is supposedly/eventually/possibly coming to replace the Lights of Winter. Given that this is only the second year the Lights of Winter won't be run, they are a bit more recently 'retired' than those attractions you listed that stopped running in the 90s (or early 2000s).

Moreover, the things you mention are "beyond the point of return." Constant complaining and guest dissatisfaction could potentially result in the rebirth of the LoW. Not the case with complex attractions that have been dismantled. I'm not saying this is likely, but what does the awareness hurt? It's not as if anyone is being coerced to reading threads (that are clearly identified in the title as pertaining to the LoW) about which they don't care. Nor is anyone forcing anyone else to comment on said threads.

Strangely enough, Lights of Winter was listed as part of the holiday celebration at Epcot from Nov. 26 - Dec. 30 in the Eyes & Ears (company magazine) that came out on Thursday. More than likely a mistake.

That is 6 days away still. That i enought time to get them up and test the lights. I know that where they place the control booth for the LOW in the past there was a huge transformer. I know it was much larger than what they would need for the tree since that is the only thing that they place now.
