Hi Everyone,

If you were going to Epcot World Showcase with a mom and a daughter age 12, what table service restaurant would you choose and why?

Here are the options I have been considering but would like to read your suggestions:
1. Rose and Crown
2. Chefs de France
3. Teppan Edo
4. Tokyo Dining

Thank you!

Of the four you've listed I've only eaten at The Rose & Crown. That said, we return there each and every trip to WDW. You can't beat a late evening dinner (8pm) and watch Illuminations from your table outside*

* Outside tables cannot be specifically booked. You can request them when you check in, but you will be seated at the first available table that will accommodate your party.

I have not been to Tokyo dining, but have enjoyed the other three. Like Captain Hook, Rose & Crown is a favorite, but usually because there are multiple members of my party who enjoy the beverages there...:)

My kids both had pretty adult tastes at 12 and thus would do well anywhere, but if she's not real adventurous most kids do well with their meat/fish of choice with the rice in Japan...if you're lucky she'll eat some veggies as well.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
I know it's not on the list but what about Via Napoli? Great option for great pizza and other Italian dishes.
I don't know what your daughter and you like though but just thought I would mention that one.
Those are not among our faves that you mentioned because Teppan Edo is just like any other hibachi restaurant( but children love it but if you have done a hibachi before somewhere it's pretty much the same experience) , Tokyo is an average one as well (can be hard to find something for a picky eater) , Chef De France is good but don't know what your daughter likes (they do have Mac and cheese entree that is really good and a fave by many), and finally Rose and Crown is pretty cool too but again don't know what yall like to eat.
Sorry I could not be more helpful.
You really can't go wrong with any of them and just choose what you both will like the most in the menus. :)

Here are my thoughts about all four:
1. Rose and Crown - chill atmosphere, good eats, nice outdoor seating as well.
2. Chefs de France - food was good but the atmosphere wasn't anything special. A nice break from walking around outside all day though.
3. Teppan Edo - obviously the hibachi is the draw and I'd definitely think your daughter would like it if she hasn't seen something like it before but...(see below)
4. Tokyo Dining - YUMMY! If you want more authentic Japanese food, this is the place to choose. Good views too.

Out of those options, I'd go with Rose and Crown. Good food and drink, and great outdoor seating available - especially if you want to view Illuminations at dinner.

The last couple times I was at Chefs de France I was not impressed with the food - it was good but not the same quality we were used to from them, and the atmosphere was very close and loud.

Biergarten - buffet with something for everyone and a show
Restaurant Marrakesh different but not too exotic and a belly dancer
Tutto Italian or Via Napoli decent food and/or pizza
Rose & Crown again decent food a good drink and outdoor seating

I've only done R&C, but it was a wonderful experience. If the chicken curry is still on the menu, get it! Nice and spicy, and cooked thoroughly so the meat slides right of the bone. Mmmm!

In all honesty, I couldn't recommend any of the options you have chosen........though you certainly can choose them and may have a nice time there. I found the food completely disgusting in Rose & Crown, and the food merely "mehh" in Teppan Edo.

For WS table service, I'd recommend Nine Dragons in China (great food, fast service) and the buffet in Biergarten in Germany (good food, very good entertainment).

Just curious, but what have you had there?

I had the Chicken Masala....and how they could mess up chicken, I don't know. It was not good at all. The rest of the group (we all tried each other's dishes) had Shepherd's Pie, Corned Beef, Bangers and Mash, and Scottish Salmon. BLECHHHHHH.

Okay, I can't blame you on the Shepherd's Pie. Even at it's best, it's a mish-mash of ingredients thrown together in a lazy fashion. Trust me on the Chicken Curry, though. The cheese plates are also pretty good.
