Epcot vs. EPCOT Center: YOU Decide!

The World Showcase is great but ever since Future World has taken a dive it's been a ghost town, even with Soarin, Mission Space, Spaceship Earth and , Test Track. I don't see how Future World survives with what it's got. People always gravitate towards the World Showcase towards noon. Innoventions is a 1 hour stop tops, Wonders of Life, 2, noone visits Journey into Imagination anymore. I hope it catches up with them. If Future World was big as it was back then or expanded it could easily be a 2 day park.

I wouldn't mind what it was called if they would remember what it was about. The original message and mission has gotten lost along the way.

Yep.

And i personally would not want to see the Park renamed 'EPCOT Center' until it is able to retain that previous level of inspiration, quality, and overall epic scope in tone and presentation.

The current version of the Park needs to work it's way up to that 'honor' of being renamed 'EPCOT Center'.

They could change the name to "The park previously known as EPCOT Center"...pretty accurate I think.

EPCOT or EPCOT Center still does not represent what Walt envisioned a living working community. It is a combination of a Futuristic park and a Worlds Fair Park and not what Walt envisioned

The problem with EPCOT (what Walt wanted or what others want now )is that trying to keep up with technology, is that technology moves faster than anything WDW could do to keep up. The only way to even keep close is to know what inventors are working on and that is not happening. IMHO the park is doing a decent job of staying abreast of some stuff but there is no way any one could run EPCOT and stay with technology.

The statement that Future World has taken a dive is not evident by the hour long + waits at Soarin' TT, MtS, etc... even the simulator in Innoventions by Raytheon has long lines.

Not any park anywhere can be an up to date=== there will always be parts that are older.
Look at MiB at UP it is the Back to the Future ride going back 10+ years ago. Hell HP at UP is already passé it was built 5+ years after the last movie.
The big thing now is Hunger Games by the time they do something on that the ride it will be 5 to 10 years after the last movie same as The Lord of the Rings.

However at EPCOT I would love to see more countries like Brazil or South America, Russia, India, SE Asia (Thailand/Vietnam/Philippines/etc...), Australia,......

Well Disney refers to it now as Epcot Theme Park, I guess that would be the winner.
