Given its shape, and the international nature of World Showcase, perhaps a giant falafel would be more in order. The wand could be made up to look like a giant hand, holding the falafel. I'm sure there's merchandising opportunities to be had there.

The Hand could drop the wand and instead be holding a spoon! Then SSE could be painted like the color of an ice cream scoop. But what flavor would best describe Epcot... hmmmmm

I've also often thought about the golf ball/club idea !

Then I did the math:

A normal golf ball is 1.68"
A normal golf clu is 40"-44"
Spaceship Earth is 165' in diameter
That would make the golf club 3928'-4321' tall !!! (a mile=5280')
