At 9 PM the entrance gates close, so nobody else is allowed in, and they have security guarding them.

In short, I'd call this rumor very false:)

IT´S A LIE!!! Don´t make a fool of yourself trying to get in there at 9pm. Cast members are closing everything and just wanna go home after the night! hehe... Do you think they would like more people to wait for them to get out of the park, so they can go home? :animwink: Not to mention the cost issue...

You can watch Illuminations for free froom the bridge in IG, but that would be the closest maybe... don´t even think about going through the turnstiles...

Seriously, it´s a lie.

Unless...

you go for like one second because 9 pm is closing time.

But could you time a Monorail trip so that you see the finale as you ride by.

That would be cool actually.:D

Epcot closes at 9PM, and so does Test Track and the other FW rides, so that's out of the question...........

BUT, I usually leave at the beginning of RoE(like 9:02PM) and I use the IG, and a number of times, I have seen the CM's have the entry gates open, and they were letting in a number of people......

It can be done! :sohappy: My daughter and I did it about 12 years ago. We had to ride the monorail to TTC, then get off and ride it back to Epcot. We were the only ones on the monorail, so the pilot let us ride with him, and "paused" the car and opened the windows so we could hear the music. (I don't know if you can even open the windows anymore?)Obviously, we weren't stopped for very long, but it was magical.

My recollection was that it involved running up and down the ramps...I don't think I could do it now! ;)

 Oh wow! That is too awesome. That has to be an extremly unique experience, I was kinda kidding at first til I thought about it. So there is a way to get inside after closing and get a potentially Unbelievable View. That is the best story I have heard about Disney. Thanks for sharing.

We didn't go BACK into the park; I don't know if we could have. We just got out at the platform, and then either ran for our bus or car to return to our hotel before the mass exodus. ;)

Well the Monorail is a cheatable way to say you are in the park after closing and not having to pay admission or scan a ticket was all I meant. He He He. *sneaky laugh*
