I was at EPCOT on saturday (4/9/05) to check out the cast preview of Soarin. Which by the way rocks! Anywho, I was in the TestTrack/Mission Space area later in the evening and in between TestTrack and MouseGears they were some guys building an aluminum framed something. Kinda looked like the stuff they make pool screening out of. Anyone know what this might be? An aviary or something for the Garden and Flower ?

I think it is an indoor butterfly garden......I read that someplace

Minnie's Magnificent Butterfly Garden featuring a butterfly house with hundreds of free-flying butterflies

Ahhhh, that makes sense. I try to go every year to the Flower and Garden festival. Like I said I was there on saturday and other than the screen thing, you wouldn't know the F&G was even around the corner. They must set that thing up pretty quick.

Yep.. I read it today too. Its the frame for an indoor butterfly garden. Apparently the frame will be remove after the show, with its concrete foundation on the new path left for future events.

Isn't that area kinda small? Or, at least, where I'm picturing...by the bathrooms that they used last year for the F&GF?

It is kinda small, maybe thats where they'll keep the lady bugs and do the release.

The Lady Bug release is going to be in the area between the Refreshment Outpost and Germany, from my understanding.

It sounds like several similar exhibits I've been to in a few parks up here. I've always been very impressed with them. I just hope that the thing is big enough to accomidate Disney-sized crowds. One of the really nice things about these is the serenity and quiet and interaction with the nature staff. I don't see this same peacefulness happening in a park the size of Epcot, but it should be a really neat exhibit nonetheless.

how is this fiasco progressing??

Looks to be a new permanent walkway just in time for the F&G?

When I was there on Saturday I didn't notice so much "construction". Most of the dirt was covered by grass. But, then again I didn't know what I was looking at.
