what is the deal with the Epcot sign the one on spaceship earth. Is that only for 100 years of magic or is that staying up. If you know please tell me.

There are several discussions about the sign. Search the posting for the Epcot sign or the Epcot wand.
It was originally put up for the millenium celebration in Sept/Oct of 1999. It used to say "2000" in big red letters then.
Shortly after Jan 2001, the "2000" letters were taken down and replaced with the script "Epcot"
The sign is more or less permanent, unless there are plans to remove it with the rumored Spaceship Earth/Project Gemini renovations.
