they'd say you're way too tall, and send you packing to merchandise (however, if the correct director is there, they'd make some sort of arrangement)... also, Darth is wrong about Vader...

Also... Disney has a way of measuring people what they need them to be, rather than what they really are. But 6'9 is pushing it...

i could pass as 6'8" without socks or anything, and slouching, could pull of 6'7" --- anything around there? i would love to "hang out" with the following:

JAFAR
GOOFY
SULLEY (from Monsters Inc.)
Captain Hook

you'd have to lose at least 5 1/2 inches to even come close... ie- wear baggy clothes and slouch at your audition, and shave your head... also, barefoot without socks

oh wait, if we want to talk about costumes fitting....

i was there in January of this year... right... and if you remember correctly, there were record breaking lows... i mean FREEZING... and i am from tx, so i didn't bring much cold wear to begin with... anyway, i was on the custodial team at the MK, and the day we got our costumes, i was given a pair of pants that were a 36 inseam, and was told they were the longest they had... i wear a 40 - they were ridiculous, so i gave them back, and they told me i would have to wear shorts... i didn't know that disney was into daisy dukes either... i felt like an idiot with a white shirt, baby blue belt, panama hat, white tube socks, black shoes, and the SHORTEST PAIR OF SHORTS YOU HAVE EVER SEEN ON THE LONGEST LEGS IN THE WORLD... my managers and co workers found me really amusing... in training they told us to wear "white" undergarments so that nothing would be seen... well, did it count if the shorts were too short and your butt was falling out... *j/k* anyway, to say the least i froze to death every morning i was in the shorts, but to give credit where credit is due, the staff in costuming is very gracious and could have had longer pant/shorts made in a week, had i needed them.

you mean, all of those characters are around the same height range.... man.. tough break...
when you audition for a character (non face character) do you still have to dance and all that jazz... and also, can you tell them who you would like to be, or do they just stick you?

lets say you were in a height range that covered many characters... are you pretty much stuck to one character or can you move around pretty often?

what is they audition like for costumed characters? thanks for all your help...

catch me on AIM... kids do go on these boards, and I'd like to keep a semblance of magic on the boards

ooh ooh ooh... i meant to ask where and when they take auditions for puppeteers around the park (if that is entertainment) and stilt walkers. do you know anyone in puppetry? i love working with puppets, and have done it all my life. i would love to be in the Voyage of the Little Mermaid, or another show like that.... or do they accept made up stuff, like i have these amazing different animal puppets that would be SO cool to use as a walk around in the Animal Kingdom... just a question...

I was just reading and laughing... reading and laughing.

Did you get him all straightened out?

It's like an article I read once in the MSD about a CM on the monorail after shift on her cell phone... little ears (and eyes... HA! Eyes and Ears) catch a lot... why ruin the spirit of it?

Sorry... not happening. For one, those floats are TOO big to fit in Epcot.

Also... mkepcotmgmak, 6'9 huh... audition during Star Wars Weekends... you're way too tall to do most things @ WDW, but there's 1 role that may have your name all over it

I'm sure the standards have changed (I don't keep up with any of it!) but we used to have a guy that tall at the Studios in entertainment. :)

Can anyone please tell me if a parade is coming back to Epcot this year? I've heard rumors of a new parade by October?

Why is everyone making me repeat myself. :(

There will be no (that means REALLY NO) new or even old, parade in Epcot in the near future...

It's just such great news, that some of us like to hear about it more than once. I have always felt that the World Showcase is just great. Parades in that area detract from the mood and experience. That double decker bus needs to go too.
