Can anyone please tell me if a parade is coming back to Epcot this year? I've heard rumors of a new parade by October?

nothing is planned as of now. And for the record, Tapestry of Dreams (NOT NATIONS) received the lowest ratings of any parade at WDW (except Mulan parade... but that's debatable).

wow, thats hard to believe. i loved ToD... it really gave me chills to see those larger than life puppets interacting with all the kids. i couldn't help but smile everytime i saw the parade, and i wanted to badly to be in it and carry one of the large puppets! i wish it would come back!!!

How to make your own Tapestry Puppet

Materials needed:

1- 1 Buick with CD Player and automatic tranny
2- 1 Ramp
3- 500 Tylenols
4- 1 5 Gallon Jug of Morphine
5- 1 Medical Insurance Policy
6- 1 Life insurance policy
7- 1 Friend (or enemy)
8- Tapestry of Dreams CD

Directions

1- Get the friend (or enemy) to back the Buick onto the ramp

2- Take all 500 Tylenols. Wash them down with the Morphine

3- Sign life insurance policy and pay your medical insurance

4- Lie down at the bottom of the ramp

5- Have your friend turn on the CD to MAX Volume and release the parking brake

6- Sing and Enjoy!

PS... this was a joke. Tapestry was more like a Yugo weight wise...lol

wow, i had no idea they were so heavy and hard to carry. ya'll made it look so easy. you would think disney would have used really light materials.

on a side note for mkt... were you in tod, and what other parades have you been in.

They weren't THAT heavy.. that was just a joke. They were poorly balanced, and certain members of management would tend to ignore high wind warnings and send the parade out in potentially dangerous conditions. Hence, my feelings of vitriol towards that parade

A small gust of wind could injure several of the CM's in that parade.

God I miss Tapestry, in either incarnation (Nations more than Dreams though). Epcot just doesnt seem complete about it. Gotta always stick around after Illuminations for the score.

I thought I was the only one who did that. I love walking around world showcase after illuminations and listen to the whole song play through. I really miss both parades too. :(

OH WOW... what a great idea! I love the music to that parade! and the pics look amazing... it would fit in with the whole World Showcase theme very well too!

great song too...

"All around the world the sun is shining, the dawning of a brand new day is here...all around the world wer'e getting ready now, to sing a song for everyone to hear......

COME JOIN US.... Music playing, people dancing, children's laughter ringin round the world, hopes are high for a happy tomorrow, hand in hand in harmony...

THAT WOULD BE A GREAT PARADE FOR EPCOT... could you PLEASE do some research and ask around any Epcot cms, or those who know managers over there... lets call eisner, this sounds GREAT!

Sorry... not happening. For one, those floats are TOO big to fit in Epcot.

Also... mkepcotmgmak, 6'9 huh... audition during Star Wars Weekends... you're way too tall to do most things @ WDW, but there's 1 role that may have your name all over it
