Epcot on New Year's

Sorry if this has already been asked (did a search, couldn't find anything) but what is the deal with Epcot on New Year's eve? Is it regular price? I see that it will be open until 1am I believe but I wondered if all of the attractions will be open as well. I'll be in Orlando and need to find something to do!

Thanks for any info!!

Epcot is a great choice. It is regular entry price. Be prepared to get their early in the day to ensure you get into the park. Once there, dont leave! Have a great time!

MGM, MK, and EPCOT all have extended hours that night with special or extended fireworks at midnight. As said before, get there early and do not leave the park....it is not uncommon for the parks to fill up early and for them to close the gates. It may be even worse this year since alot of people have the 31st off since New Years Day falls on a Saturday, many businesses are closed and there will be more locals heading to the parks as well. You can't go wrong at any of the three parks as all the shows at midnight are great. Enjoy! :xmas:

Thanks for the replies! I think we are indeed going to Epcot but I'm just wondering now how early we should go. Anyone know when the park typically fills up on New Years (or other big holidays, for that matter)?

Thanks!

In anser to your question, you should get there early. I know for a fact that Magic Kingdom closes its gates very early, yet I am not sure about this info for Epcot. Epcot is huge and can hold quite a bit more people than MK can. I've heard Epcot fills from capacity, yet from my experiences for the past two years (when I was at Epcot) I do not remember hearing that the park was closed. But, I could be wrong.

In summation, I'd come early just to stay safe. Yet the attractions will have gi-normous lines and FastPasses will be gone well before noon for many. But enjoy yourself, take it easy, and get prepared for early evening, that is when it really stars to get exciting.

Youre sure to have a fun albeit crowded day. :xmas:

I remembering from working last New Years Eve that MK closed at 10am but randomly kept opening and I believe last year that EPCOT closed at 1pm and I think it stayed closed(i'm really not to sure). If your not staying on property I would suggest getting there right away...the only let hotel guest in once the parking lots filled up.
