Epcot - Japan Pearl

I did this in February. It was a lot of fun and my daughter loved taking pictures of the whole event. I didn't have my pearl set as we didn't have time to wait around to have it done but I do plan on having the pearl set into a necklace at some point. I would recommend it because it really is a nice and unique souvenir.

I've done it several times over the years. My first ever was a big, gorgeous 8mm pearl and we set it in a cherry blossom pendant. My husband is always saying, "do you want to get a pearl?" when we go to Epcot. I think he likes it as much as I do! :p I've gotten ivory ones, more golden ones and FINALLY a silver one after about half a dozen tries. (Over a few years mind you!)

Here's the ones I've set. I have maybe 4 more that I just brought home.

(The photo really reminds me I need to polish my petal one! LOL Leave it to a camera to highlight a negative when in person, I hadn't even noticed yet.)

I did this during our most recent trip (Nov 2013) - I picked the ugliest one I could find in the tank and ended up with a beautiful 8mm white pearl. I ended up having them place it on a basic necklace for me (nice medium length sterling silver chain included) which was an additional $60.

I've done this three times now and it is so fun! My ring was around $60 I think (but I just loved how delicate it is!) and my necklace I just purchased 2 weeks ago. It was $30 and a nice feature is that the chain is adjustable. I have another pearl that isn't set in anything. All three times I chose oysters with 7.5 mm white pearls! Beautiful...love them...but hoping to discover a silver/grey one someday!
