so many awesome nights spent in EPCOT, significantly slower than MK and "boring" to kids!

I have to admit that we skipped Epcot on our very first trip because we thought it might be boring. Big mistake!

I know, I know. It's crazy. I was at Epcot last week until around 8, then I left. If I had only stayed an hour longer, I could've seen it...

we appreciate all of the small things around EPCOT, because as dedicated Disney fans we learn what to look for and what to appreciate.

compare that to the average parent bringing junior to Disney because... "that's what parents do", if you don't create and establish the right mindset for your kids they'll likely find EPCOT boring.

I haven't read back through all the posts, but as has already been mentioned, There is SO VERY MUCH I miss about the original vision and incarnation of EPCOT and how it used to be.
That being said however, every time I enter the Park, a feeling of awe, peace, freedom and hope for the future still comes over me, all at the same time...anything is possible! Everything from Spaceship Earth to The American Adventure, and most everything in between. I can't explain it, really. Corny, I know, but I'm feeling it right now as I type this...!!!

Kids are obsessed with thrill rides now. Epcot has more of that kind of stuff than Magic Kingdom.

Same here. There is a lot for kids to do at EPCOT. Not to mention shorter lines, less crowded places to duck in for some AC. Kidcot, easier meet and greets, Phineas and Ferb's agent Perry. I think the problem is people just walk around unknowingly withgout actually stopping to see what it has to offer
