Epcot Ideas

Hi all! Need ideas for Epcot. Decided to spend a full day there in a few weeks and need new and fresh ideas for the day. This is a solo trip and I have a few must dos while there (I already tried Rose and Crown for Illuminations - booked solid).

Summer concert (5:45pm show), Mission Space (haven't rode green yet - hoping I like better than orange), Captain EO (at least twice!)

I've done so many trips - I'm looking for the new and unique experiences. Food, small shows I might have missed, experiences not many know about - Epcot has never been a favorite, so hoping to add some love to this park this trip. Epcot lovers - HELP!

If you enjoy some of the more research/educational elements of Epcot, I highly recommend the "Behind the Seeds" tour described in "Livin' With the Land."

If you're looking for a great spot to watch IllumiNations, there's a small ramp that runs behind the quick-service stand at the Rose & Crown. There's always one or two cast members there guarding a rope. If you chat them up, play dumb, and mention you're looking for a good spot to see the show that night, they'll often invite you to come back and enjoy the show from their private little area right on the water. Beware though, if it's a windy day the viewing area is prime for ash blowage.

You don't necessarily have to limit yourself to one show. The shows are short, and the song lists vary. It depends on the band, it tends to be more like one show of three sets than three separate shows. Although there is almost always at least a little repetition.

You weren't specific about when you're going, so I don't know who you'll be seeing, but we try not to miss 2U or Slippery When Wet. Both are very talented and put on a great show, and the lead singer for Slippery even bears a striking resemblance to Jon Bon Jovi.
