Hi everyone!

Has anyone ever attended the ice cream social at Epcot in The Land? If so, was it any good? Worth the time? I can't find much info on it. Thanks for your help!

I have called several times to try to get info about this, and it appears to not be happening anymore. Anyone else know anything about this?

The only thing I can suggest is make sure you are calling the WDW Dining Reservations number at 407-WDW-DINE

Those are the people I spoke to. One CM spent fifteen min. trying to find out about it and could not find anything. I couldn't make a PS because it wasn't in the system.

I was able to make priorty seating thru WDW-DINE for 4/16/02. I was just wondering if it is worth the time and if it is any fun? I have 2 boys, 3 & 5 and I think they would like it . I can't seem to find any reviews about it. I think there is characters but I don't know who. Any info is appreciated!

Thanks!

I went to the social in 2000. It was about 7 dollars per person I believe. Sometimes the wait can be long. Not to many characters and the sundaes are enormous. For kids its great because you will see characters and eats Lots of ice cream. Its one of those things were I am glad I did it but I would probably not do it again unless I was with someone who wanted to go,

Hi, Time to bring this thread back to the front again. My wife and I have started a diet program recently and just realized that we had PS for our trip in three weeks. We thought about cancelling but first wanted to check on something.

What types of Ice-Cream is offered and can you get Frozen Yogurt or some type of low-fat version in place of the standard Ice Cream? thanks so much for any help.

We did this on our trip in Dec. the kids will love it. They only sell so many tickets and the kids get to have some quality character time.

We went to the Ice Cream Social back in May 2001. We had a great time! It was at 3pm and there were hardly any people in the restaurant. The restaurant is cool as it rotates as you are dining. Since there weren't many people, the characters came around twice to see us. We saw Mickey, Chip and Dale and Pluto, all in farmer outfits. My 3 year old son had a blast. We got lots of great pictures. As far as the ice cream went, it was great. It was a huge sundae with LOTS of chocolate. I personally don't care for chocolate on my ice cream and asked if there were any other kinds of toppings. There wasn't :( But of course I ate the chocolate anyway.....:p

We went there this summer, it was terrific!! We did have a PS, but there really wasn't very many people there. The sundaes are great and the characters are a riot (Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale) , we had a blast! Highly recommend it.

I know they don't offer you a choice once you get there, but for some reason I seem to recall reading or hearing somewhere that you could make a special request, I will go thru my trip notes and see if I still have something on it. The ice cream they serve is very rich, definitely not low fat, plus it's served on a giant chocolate chip cookie and with a waffle cone, sprinkles & gummi-worms!

Sounds Wonderful, but I appreciate it if you can look it up. If not, I guess we will skip the Social this time.:(

I went thru my notes, but didn't find anything in there, I could have sworn I read it somewhere though, but maybe I'm thinkin of something else. I'm sure they would tell you when you call for a PS. One thing you could do, if you are counting calories, is share a sundae. They are very large, more than enough for one person anyway! At least then you could still enjoy the ice cream social.

 My family went to the Ice Cream Social 9/21/02. We were not offered a choice of ice cream and our sundaes were extremely rich! BUT this is a NOT TO BE MISSED social. The characters were wonderful, very attentive and made several visits to our table. Since the seating is pretty much the same for everyone, it's a pleasant way to take a break. Hope you don't change your mind about this one. ENJOY!:slurp:
