You mean the big one between mousegear and the fountain view cafe... near ice station cool?

Is there a reason that it shouldn't be running - have you heard something or have you visited when its not been operational ?

When we were at EPCOT last February the fountain was not operating, we were told it was due to drought conditions.
However on a return trip this September they were operating, as well as all other water features around the parks.
(Don't know if this helps, but might explain why it wouldn't be operating.)

NOTE ON THE DROUGHT......
even with higher then normal rain this year...we are still in "drought conditions"....infact FLA might be in a drought for for a very longtime.....the H2O in FLA comes from the aquafer under the ground....with the growing population, this source can not keep up the demand...the South FL water management district has asked every one to help...WDW has done alot to help including spending millions to change the irragation sytem to recaimed (that means former sewage) water instead of freash....they also will not was your sheats everyday unless you ask and they ask you to reuse your towels...we also turned off ALL fountains that the water doesn't get reused...(they are upgradeing some...at spash, we turned off the water cannon that spalshed the bridge....the fountain at epcot?? not sure how it works BUT it was on yesterday 11/21........hope this helps..........

i have a question about the other fountain....
when did they remove the glass epcot panel with the old logo on it? it used to be in front of spaceship earth. there were three of them and they were tall and skinny, last time i was there in sept i didnt see them...any one have any ideas?

FL are you shure about this? In the "The story of Walt Disney World" they mention that they will use "Affluent" (reclaimed sewage water) to irragate the grounds of WDW. They made a big deal about the water hyiacyanth(sp) program that was used in the reclaimation of the waste water, Unless they only did this setup for Phase One. I always was to belive that they continued this with the expansion of other parts of the property.

YEAH!!! It could actually be like the video-projection LCD globe at Illuminations: ROE. It would be this cool, light-up "thing" staring in your face, with all video LCD projections of all the "rides" at Epcot and maybe some fireworks too... And every now and then Figment pops up, and all cool, wacky, patterns and shapes and colors. Even set it to a beat (music!) It could be like the "sombrero" scene from The Three Caballeros!
