So my best firend of almost 30 years and I are going to Disney on October 15th! She is getting remarried in June and in leiu of a shower she wanted us to go away as we have never really done a girls vacation. So in a whirlwind decision after looking online, we jumped in and planned a trip for next month! We have never been to Disney during this festival and I wasn't sure what to expect or if anyone has any tips to share.

Eat a light breakfast and plan a light dinner if you are planning on dedicating a good amount of your day to the F&W festival. Although the booths have smaller size portions, you will fill up fast on all the different offerings they have.

Try to avoid going on a weekend. Many locals come in for this event and it can be very mobbed. However, if you do opt to go on a weekend, prepare yourself for lines at the booths.

And most importantly, have fun!

Dont eat everything in one day, bring a ton of cash because everything is overpriced, and make sure you drink as much beer as you can, it is always more fun with alcohol.

That's right arounf the time that our family went last year. It was fantastic. Lovely weather, a little on the hot side for that time of year. Not bad crowds - a bit more so on the weekends. If you have the dining plan, you can use snack credits at the booths. What yummy food! We had no lines when we attended right when the World Showcase first opened. What fun to do it as a girls getaway. You may also want to consider MNSSHP that time of year if you're so inclined. Have a blast!

Thanks for the tips! We actually just bought tickets for the Halloween Party. We're super excited. We went together 25 years ago together with her family and although we have both been back several times, we haven't been back together. We're just not telling our kids we're going to Disney. Just calling it a business trip, lol. But I'm not a bad mom, my husband I have taken the kids 4 out of the last 5 years.
