:slurp: does anyone agree that possibly the best food to be found in any of the parks is the fish and chips in the rose and crown pub in epcot.
get a table outside in the night, oder a pint of (very expensive) harp lager and sit there eating youre fish and chips while watching possibly the best firework show in the world ?? any other tips on cool things to do??:slurp:

Got to disagree..... Come to England and try REAL Fish & Chips, you will soon change your mind. I come from a fishing port... we have the best, and you can still get small fish and chips for £1, $1.50 (ish).

Have to agree with you, being in England plenty of time and there is not comparission with the Fish & Ships, but in theme park standar, Epcot's are the best. Never compare the real thing with the imitations.

Seagull abuse!

(If you'd taken it in the back door, they'd have probably put it in some batter for you and fried it up nicely!)

Yes, Fish and Chips £1. Granted its not huge but it makes a lunch. I live in Grimsby, all we eat is Fish and Chips (apparently)

Also in Orlando...

The Cricketers Arms over at Mercado (I-drive) has simply outstanding fish and chips! Also a nice hand-drawn pint of Fullers IPA. Tends to get a bit raucous in there when live football is broadcast (perhaps to compensate for the lack of fireworks), but the fish and chips get my vote for "best in Orlando".

And if you venture just north of Orlando, stop by Fiddler's Green in Winter Park. Again, first-rate fish and chips, and a smooth pint of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale... an American beer to compare with the U.K.'s finest!

Wish I could get over to Grimsby to try the chip shops and pubs there as well!

I love fish and chips...must have gotten mine on a bad day because they were soggy, greasy and cold. I've been told that this isn't usually the case so I will try again in August.

You don't really want to come to Grimsby, its not that special. I think pubs are something that I certainly take for granted, you guys across the pond don't really have them do you?

(I have posted some pictures of my home town in the "hometown" pictures thread)

Ok...I have some questions....

I grew up in Central Canada...so we didn't really get the Fish and Chips...in fact...I've never had them...

So...is the fish like REAL fish...or fish-stick fish...or the kind in the middle....(seriously)

What about the chips...are they actually CHIPS....or french freis...

I know stupid questions....:o :lookaroun

When I moved to Boston...we mainly stuck with "hawdogs" and the baked beans...

I have a Question.

In England...when you order fish and chips..is it always the same KIND of fish in every Pub/Restaurant?

In America...on the menu it specifies the differant kind of fish they serve..ie..Cod..Haddock...Catfish etc.

The exception of course is fast food fish Sandwiches like McDonalds and God only knows what kind of fish THEY use.

So when you order Fish and Chips in differant places...is it differant KINDS of fish depending on where you go?

I, personally, like to know what kind of fish I'm eating.

I'm too interested in what I'm drink while I'm in the UK pavilion to even bother with the fish and chips; however, I'd like to try them on my next trip down. I've heard they're awesome!
