EPCOT dining: recommendations wanted!

Our favorites for dinner are Tokyo Dining, the Biergarten and the San Angel Inn. The Rose & Crown is great for lunch, the Garden Grill for (character) breakfast.

Let's see......well you've already done Coral Reef (which I would have recommended anyway). As for Teppan Edo, I would recommend only if you have no local Japanese dining options where you live. If you do, then you may likely find that you'll get better food (and better prices) there than stopping at Teppan Edo......that's certainly what I found. But I would highly recommend the Nine Dragons restaurant in China - fast, good service with great food. Biergarten has also become one of our regulars as its buffet lunch and great entertainment make for a really nice dining experience. The only caveat there is that you will most likely get seated at one table with a bunch of strangers (assuming you have a small party that doesn't take an entire table).

San Angel Inn has become something of a hit-or-miss for us in the past several times we've eaten there because while the dessert options are quite good, we've never been particularly thrilled with the main meals. Even the basic chips-n-salsa they bring to the tables isn't all that good (IMO). There are a few places like Garden Grill that I would like to try and have heard only good things about.....maybe someday.

I've always looked at EPCOT as a wonderful opportunity to introduce my kids to other cuisines in a fun setting. Granted my kids are both hungry and adventurous, so they have had no issues eating in any of the WS restaurants.

The San Angel Inn went through a big menu change a couple years ago. Even the chips and salsa are now fresh and spicy (unlike the Tostitos and tomato paste they used to serve!). Since the change I haven't had a bad meal there.

And the Hacienda de San Angel is by far one of my favorites. Very fresh food (try the roasted corn soup!) in a beautiful room with great views of the World Showcase Lagoon.

Another vote for Garden Grill from me!
A definitely overlooked location by many, as you really are spoilt for choice in Epcot.
I also found it a relaxed place to meet characters away from the mad crowds.

We couldn't get Garden Grille for dinner on our last trip, but were able to get there for breakfast, and loved it.

Tapan Edo is fun, but it isn't anything different than any other habachi place I have been to.

I have read a lot of not positive reviews of Mexico, so we haven't been there, but lately, there have been some good ones, so it is back in the mix for a future trip.

Also, another thing to think about is to walk over to BC or YC resorts to check out Captain's Grille or Cape May (or the boardwalk for that matter). It isn't that far of a walk, and it is a nice walk along the beach.

I would add another vote for Garden Grill. The food is surprisingly good, and the two times I have been there, the character interaction was generous.

Out of the others you list, I would suggest the Biergarten. One of the better buffets with more original food, and the entertainment is great. However, I do not like that you often are seated with another party.

I am not a fan of Teppan Edo (nothing unique about it). San Angel is beautiful but overpriced for what it is. Hacienda has better food, but for some reason, it still never makes it very high on my list. I would put a good word in for Restaurant Marrakesh though; I think it's kind of a hidden gem. The food is excellent. I find the entertainment a little annoying because it's too loud for my taste.

I loved Teppan Edo, was sooo yummy. :) And Chefs de France. I wasn't expecting much from this restaurant for some reason but was absolutely blown away. The French Onion soup is to die for. And the profieroles... Drooling.

I've actually eaten at every restaurant in Epcot at one time or another. Taking into account quality of food, authenticity, atmosphere, value and overall experience, I'd recommend: Biergarten...La Hacienda de San Angel...Le Cellier as my top 3.

Hi all!

We are just a few days out from our ADR window, and I'm at a loss with EPCOT dining. We've eaten at a handful of places over the years (Via Napoli, Coral Reef, Akershaus, to name a few), and want to try somewhere new for a table service meal. We'll have a 7 year old and 5 year old at time of travel. I'm thinking Teppan Edo, Biergarten, La Hacienda de San Angel, and San Angel Inn Restaurante. Would you recommend any of these as a MUST do? If so, what sets it apart?

Akershus, living seas, don't forget to try the amazing bakery in France!

You've gotten tons of suggestions already so I'm going to suggest that you make sure to have Kaki Gori from the kiosk in Japan. Yum!
