My family and I recently went to Walt Disney World. When we went to Epcot I realized how old and outdated everything was. And i was wondering if there were anything new coming to Epcot. Any ideas?

Thanks. so does anyone have any ideas?

Yes welcome to the forums. I know some people would like to see a new country added, which would be nice, but I think it needs more to it than just that. I agree with you Epcot just seems old and outdated, unfortunately I don't have any ideas on how to fix it or make it better.

I would like to see a few more countries added to World Showcase. I also would like to see them do something with the old Horizons building. It is a shame to have a building sitting there doing nothing. Whether or not this happens is niether here nor there. This is just what I would want.

This topic has been discussed to death.
Epcot has problems...there are no ongoing public plans to deal with those problems.

Epcot is still great, even with its issues.

I dont forsee epcot doing any thing different besides adding more thrill rides. Soaring is fairly new (er) thats probably the newest ride and show would be captain EO if u seen that too! I wouldnt mind a different fire work show though. I am kinda getting sick of the one they have now.

Epcot could really use a new country and your right the horizons building is just sitting there being unused. They could at least make that a show or maybe even demolish it to build a ride.

I'm sick of this fireworks show too. I thought it was just me. I really don't care about the ball. It was cool the first few times I saw it but I would rather see the firworks that shoot into the air. But this is just my opinion.

They Demolished the Horizons building several years ago, that's where Mission: Space is located now. The empty building is the "Wonders of Life" Pavilion.

Epcot is great, but obviously a few things could be added to make it even better, for me a new country and doing something with the Imagination Pavilion particularly, journey into imagination with figment which is just plain awful. I'll still go anyway regardless of whether there are many updates or not, I love Epcot!

Epcot is still my favorite park; I take what comes and still find plenty of enjoyment. I would hope any changes stay evolutionary. Wouldn't mind a new country or two (Australia would/could be awesome IMO), and maybe get back into some of the future predictions of what the Imagineers can foresee.

I thought the Wonders of Life building is the one sitting empty? And that Space came in where Horizons was? :veryconfu I love Epcot just the way it is.

Nah, the Horizon's building isn't empty, but the building that replaced it is. ;)

Totally agree!

Since changes are not likely, do what we do as Disney vets. We no longer spend a day in each park but rather, a half day in each park over 2 days and just hit our favorite rides and activities. We love Disney but......Sea World is our second favorite venue and lastly Universal. We still visit often but have cut down on our stays.
