Hello! I've had the privilege of being able to go to the parks very often since january and will be able to until august and have made it my goal to document everything that's left from Epcot Center. I'm also interested in finding references to old rides and things. While I've found a lot, I want to hear from you all on any details I may have missed.

So far I've got:

Entrance area:
  • the reimagined entrance fountain
  • obviously the whole structure of spaceship earth and the original mural
  • the old space control tower in the descent of spaceship earth
Future World East
  • Communicore East's building surviving, the circular structures from the air conditioned hallway
  • Universe of Energy, Wonders of Life, and World of Motion's buildings all still standing
  • The original Horizons planter outside Mission Space
  • The reference to Brava Centuri in the mural in Mission Space
  • The Universe of Energy symbol on the signage in the Xandarian ship section of Cosmic Rewind
  • The text on signage outside Test Track which says "World of Motion" and "Fun 2 Be Free"
  • The Odyssey's interior bathrooms which retain their original design
Future World West
  • The new mural in Communicore Hall with references to all the old pavilions
  • The original Land area loop still playing outside
  • This one I need help confirming- is the music in the Land bathrooms from the Kitchen Kabaret preshow?
  • Most of the scenes in Living with the Land which are original to Listen (including the newly restored fire effect in the prairie scene!)
  • The Land mosaic and the carpet walls in the theater waiting room for Awesome Planet
  • The hot air balloons (although heavily modified from the originals)
  • the old atrium and turntable areas of Journey into Imagination
  • the "Dean Finder" reference along with the old figment animations that play both in ride and now in imageworks
  • The leaping fountains and reverse waterfall
  • The old area loop playing in the imagination bathrooms
World Showcase
  • The runes in Norway referencing part of Maelstrom's script
  • The majority of Gran Fiesta Tour being original to El Rio Del Tiempo
  • Reflections of China and Impressions de France
Outside of Epcot:
  • Magic Kingdom: references to the Horizons butler in Space Mountain exit and ofc the original EPCOT model on peoplemover
  • Hollywood Studios: Ships from Horizons in Backlot Express
So if you know of anything else please let me know! I'd also love to know the fates of any old props and animatronics. Thank you!!!

Reflections of China is only around 40% of Wonders of China. Don’t forget the monorail station, east and west entry plaza wings and group sales / pet care buildings too. American Adventure is faithful to the original inside and out. Biergarten is perhaps one of the largest built environments that has hardly changed apart from the service type.

Chester and Hester's has an ad for Epcot under the awning over the entrance next to the road. It just says "While in Florida be sure to visit Epcot", but I believe it uses an old logo.

You need to talk to Peter Alt about the monorail footers monothingie posted about....
Monorail Footers in Future World...or whatever nonsense they call it now.

Extremely helpful thank you so much! Looks like I need to have lunch at Biergarten soon. Also thank you so much for your hard work with your tribute videos, that's been like half my research for all these dead attractions and it's been so helpful

Like has been said, the area outside the main entrance, from the monorail station, ticket windows, bus depot, etc. is largely unchanged since the 80s. The building on the walkway to the buses even had the old EPCOT Center logo on the windows well into the 2000s after it had been expunged elsewhere in the park. And I'm pretty sure the "Main Entrance East Restrooms" (as they are called on the app) are unchanged, as the brownish/maroon tile work is very early EPCOT-esque.

Don’t forget: when you’re heading into the launch room on Cosmic Rewind, you can hear an electric guitar riff of the “Uni-verse of En-er-gy!”

Thank you!! I'll definitely get a good look at those areas and the bathrooms there.
