Me and my family are currently sitting watching home videos and we've been watching the Epcot one saying that we should really go on the boats that take you from country...well that's what we assume they do.
That's why I'm writing this post....please don't persecute me if theres another thread on this but I honestly have tried using the seach function.
Does it cost money to go on the boats?
What countries do the boats take off from?
How long does it take to get from place to place?
Do you recommend it?
Thanks guys!

The boats are complimentary. They go from the the front of World Showcase to Germany and France-ish. There are four ports overall.

I've only taken the boats once, so I'm not sure how long it takes, but I can assume that it may be just a little shorter than walking. I certainly recommend it if you're tired of walking and want to experience World Showcase from a different perspective.

Hope that helps

Anytime! Hope you have a blast at EPCOT...And I should add that the boats are VERY relaxing. Used them for the first time this past summer and loved being able to explore WS without walking:lol:

The boats are also very accessible for wheelchairs, strollers, and ECVs. We often use the boats when we're with my parents who use ECVs.

The only exception to this is Epcot ECVs. Granted that this could have changed since last May, but Epcot ECVs were not allowed because, depending on how the boat was docked, the plate at the front of the ECV would prevent it from being driven on or off the boat. The plate is there to keep the ECVs from boarding any form of transportation out of the park, however, it also inhibits its use on the Friendship Boats within the park. Of course, you are allowed to leave the ECV on the dock, take a round-trip, and then pick up the ECV again.
