Epcot, and It's Cluttered Walkways

To me the Leave a Legacy things look like tomb stones in a grave yard.

It's always so nice to walk by a grave yard on the way into EPCOT.
Much more appealing than having nice landscaping and open walk areas- NOT.

That caught me completely off guard!
That is why I gravitate towards his posts. :D

I was open... and a lot of direct sun if I recall from my childhood.

(BTW, I started watching the wrong movie on his website and now I have Wilson Phillips stuck in my head :brick:)

Clean lines of sight are more classy than clutter.

More timeless too. Much of the clutter already looks dated. Whereas EPCOT Centre's original aestethic have a timeless, majestic quality.

UGGGGGH DVC BOOTHS! If I see another one POP UP Im going to kick it over! and they always put it next to a bench so you have to hear them yammer on about how great DVC is when you just want to rest a minute...oh! and of course! Do I know the best kept Disney secret?? I once told a DVC CM that I thought the best kept Disney secret was ANY bench NOT next to a DVC booth....

Because, in my opinion, comparing the purpose (which is what was done originally) of LaL to the War memorials elevates the status of LaL and Epcot as a whole to the same importance and symbolism as the Vietnam Memorial and WWII Memorial. That is disrespectful.

Sure they share similiar physical characteristics, that can't be denied, but when the analogy is made that Epcot is the National Mall and LaL=WWII or Vietnam Memorials that's where I have the problem.

^ I agree.

As a joke? Hilarious.

But hearing people take something I'd maybe toss an aside zinger about as a serious argument is crazy.

A Monument for a Momentous Moment and a War Memorial are two different things.

That they are....in ideals.

In look? Not really. Both have pictures, both have depressing colors, both are oppressive to the eye, and both are "Wall-Like" in structure.
