Epcot 25?

Has anyone heard about a 25th anniversary celebration for EPCOT in 2007?

My guess is once the 50th birthday is over, the next 15-18 month celebration will be Walt Disney World's 35th birthday, followed by EPCOT's 25th (can't remember that term you use for a 25th birthday). They are really working hard on some projects right now to revitalize EPCOT, so it would make sense.

I think a celebration for Epcot's 25th would be very interesting. It would be neat to have Epcot in the spotlight during your visit to WDW, instead of the Magic Kingdom or something else. I'm looking foward to that.

I want some new, exciting rides back in the World Showcase!!! I do enjoy World Showcase but I would love it more if it had some rockin rides back there for the 25th:slurp:

Maybe they'll bring back Illuminations 25 for this historical event.

That seems to be the most realistic idea, I was there when they had it for the 25th anniversary of WDW, it was excellent.

I want to see Spaceship Earth and Imagination completly renovated. I would also like to see Carousal of Progress moved to Epcot where it truely belongs.

They should build the Matterhorn in between Germany and Italy (pushed back a little) and have a Swiss area around it. That would rock.

if they do that, they'd have to build Mt. Fuji in Japan to balance it out and then that would rock even more!

I would really enjoy seeing (as I mentioned in an earlier post) a nice exhibit in the Odyssey, and a temporary revival of the millenium village.

I say put some theme rides back in the showcase area, too many rockin rides, they need more attractions like the Haunted House, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan's Flight etc., something cool to go with the theme of the countries

I don't think they will just bring back Illiminations 25 for the 25th, as they have to out do the curent show otherwise people will be disapointed in it.

New Illuminations and potentially a themed water ride for World Showcase along with the refurbishment of The Living Seas and Universe of Energy.
