As the forum's resident entertainment buff, I've finally decided to develop an all new Entertainment lineup for Walt Disney World for the 50th Anniversary. I'll go into depth in other posts but for now, a standard rundown of the lineup

Cinderella's Royal Celebration
For this all new show, Castle Forecourt Stage will be expanded as seen below, while still keeping the now iconic arches and pillar stages and incorporating them into a new design and a larger area of performance space, with a more technologically advanced stage featuring stage lifts and the ability for the arches and side stages to sink into the main stage to provide a better view of castle projections for all guests during Remember the Magic and Disney's Celebration of Light.

Hear ye, hear ye! In celebration of 50 years of prosperity and joy, by royal decree you are invited to a royal festival hosted by Princess Cinderella and her Prince Charming in front of Cinderella Castle. Experience the Joy of Adventure, the Promise of Tomorrow, the Magic of Fantasy, and the majesty as a spell is cast and joy spreads throughout the Magic Kingdom.

Celebrate the Dreams
Bells ring out as dancers in royal costumes arrive and trumpeters announce the arrival Princess Cinderella and Prince Charming.
Scene 2: Fairy Godmother casts a spell

Fairy Godmother appears on the castle balcony as Cinderella wishes to let happiness spread throughout the land and casts a spell.

Tomorrow Medley (The Future Has Arrived, Aloha E Como Vai, There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow)
The Fairy Godmother casts another spell and sends us to discover the promise of Tomorrow as the stage transforms into the city of the future. Led by Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, we come across monsters in a comedy club and Stitch causing mischief.
Scene 5: Magic of Fantasy
Fantasy Medley (A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes, Beauty and the Beast, For the First Time in Forever, A Whole New World, One Song, I See the Light)
The Fairy Godmother reappears and casts a spell, transforming the stage into a beautiful ballroom. Cinderella and Prince Charming lead the way as other royal guests arrive. Mademoiselle Belle and her Prince, Princess Anna and Queen Elsa, Princess Jasmine and Aladdin, Snow White and her Prince, and Princess Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.
Scene 6: Finale
Thanks to You
Characters reappear in gold and white, finishing off the show in a spectacular way with a burst of pyro and a pledge of joy, promise, and magic for the rest of the day at the Magic Kingdom

The castle is dark with a night sky and the sound of swamp animals as Remember the Magic is sung again and Cinderella Castle is built with golden bricks. With each segment built, a classic Disney moment is depicted in stained glass as the castle is transformed into a beautiful piece of art till Cinderella Castle itself comes alive once more in Disney's Celebration of Light.

At the end of the day, Cinderella hosts Disney's Celebration of Light, an all new show featuring new fountains in the waters around the hub, creating a new sensory experience for all guests as orchestral arrangements of classic Disney songs and beautiful projections take guests on an amazing journey.

Search lights dance around the castle to an overture and Cinderella Castle seems to transforms back to it's normal, non stained glass state to the main theme of the show as fireworks burst​

Cinderella (a live face character and standing on the castle balcony) welcomes us and a spell is cast over the castle to her surprise, bringing the castle to life. It begins to twist and transform, revealing a glowing world inside. Cinderella tells us that the magic inside has ignited a fantasy and has brought us to a new fairytale of fun.​

Fairy Godmother appears on a castle spire and welcomes us to Lights of Romance. She looks down at softly glowing statues below her and with a wave of her wand, the lights go out and orbs of pyro of each color rise from the Fantasyland rooftops. With each color, the castle turns the corresponding color and an image of the moment in the statue come to life.​

The castle turns a deep, velvet red as Princess Aurora and Philip walk out of the castle and a classical rendition of Once Upon a Dream plays. The two waltz and sing to each other.​

Aurora and Philip disappear in a cloud of fog as trumpets blast when Fairy Godmother reminds us that dreams come true no matter where we find them. Tiana and Naveen run out of the smoke. They sing about the place where dreams come true, New Orleans.​

Fairy Godmother gives a laugh as the castle turns yellow. She reminds us that love is found in the most unexpected places as Belle and the Beast rise from the two side stages. At the climax of the number, the Beast is turned human by Belle's love.​

Fairy Godmother reminds us to never give up hope because a rainbow will shine through. Cinderella and Prince Charming come through the castle gates dance, before going down into the stage.​

The castle turns into a rainbow of color as the princesses and their princes come through, Aurora and Philip in red, Tiana and Naveen in green, Ariel and Eric in orange, Aladdin and Jasmine in indigo, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider in violet, Belle and her prince in yellow, and Cinderella and Prince Charming in blue. The dreams come true as with a final vocalization of the chorus, fireworks launch, the couples go down into the stage and the Lights of Romance come back alive with light as Fairy Godmother casts a final spell on us and wishes us an enchanting evening.​

Castle Moat Decorations​

Cinderella Castle's Moat has been invaded by both pirates and princesses. On one side, a grand galleon floats while on the other, a floating garden has formed. These two decorations play a part in the Central Plaza celebrations and, at night, will move away to the sides of the castle, much like the Castle Forecourt Stage sinks into itself, to provide better views of Cinderella Castle at night.​

Pirates Take Over​

A group of pirate ships led by Captain Mickey featuring Peter Pan, Wendy, Jack Sparrow, Donald Duck, and Goofy move in from Liberty Square. They stop in Central Plaza for a celebration of piracy. But when Captain Hook invades on the celebration, it takes everything these pirates have to stop him.​

The Winter Wonderland unit will include Anna and Elsa's float. The Toy Story and Stitch floats will be added to Santa's Workshop, and the Snow White and Beauty and the Beast floats will be added to the Princess unit.​

America Gardens Theatre

In celebration of a golden 50 years, Epcot will receive a massive upgrade to the America Gardens Theatre, completely changing the humble stage to a beautiful open air theatre, somewhat reminiscent of an airport or a train station. Underneath the stage will be a full backstage setup. This will all be for the new stage show, Rhythms of the World.

Where else would the music of the world collide than World Showcase? And Mickey and Friends are here to prove it in a spectacular show taking guests to the four corners of the globe. From the sounds of jazz from North America to the traditions of Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa, Rhythms of the World is a massive treat for guests of all ages. And that golden touch? Just wait for the finale.

Horizons of Time
Time has made her way to the timeless realm of Epcot and to celebrate, she brings progress and potential in a spectacular water carnival.

Act 1 - Time
In a massive dress, seeming to glide over the water, Time parades herself around World Showcase Lagoon and comes center, having prepared a living story of herself to come to life.
Act 2 - Mythics
Boats representing the ancient gods of Greece, Scandinavia, Egypt, and Mesopotamia glide into the Lagoon. time explains that she has summoned them for a reason, for they all have a lesson to offer humanity.
Act 3 - War
Warships glide in and the gods begin an all out war in a desire to conquer the world in their own way. Time stops the war in it's tracks, explaining why she expects better.
Act 4 - Civilization
Mortals appear on the boats, building their own civilizations and starting their life with peace amongst the gods.
Act 5 - Celebration
The civilizations all in their own golden age make Time even more powerful, as she grows higher and higher until she is high above the lagoon, looking out at her accomplishment as pyro blasts from the boats in a grand finale.

The dreams and ideals of Epcot come alive over the night sky as Dreamfinder and Figment go on a fantastic journey of discovery.

Theatre of the Stars Makeover

The Theatre of the Stars gets a grand makeover, enclosing it and preparing it for a new classic show to move in with state of the art effects, sets, and backstage facilities in a 3,000 seat theatre. In preparation for this magical makeover, Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage and the Theatre of the Stars itself will close in Fall 2019.

The Golden Mickeys - New Show at Theatre of the Stars

A young stagehand learns the power of what a dream can be as they are forced into the spotlight to host The Golden Mickeys, a fabulous parade of stars and statuettes that awards the most classic members of the Disney family.

Opening
The curtain opens to a grand opening number as dancers all around the stage make final preparations and make the show start with a bang as the red carpet is rolled out and the biggest stars arrive.

History Lesson
Jo(e), the stagehand is forced out onstage when they find out Mickey is stuck in typical LA traffic. He calls in on video to give Jo(e) a pep talk and a small history lesson, helping them present the first award at the end.
The Fairest Film of Them All
A curtain rises on a meadow where Snow White stands and a medley of classic songs ensues. At the end of the number, Jo(e) forgets to give Snow White her award and runs after her as she goes offstage.

An announcer announces Ginnifer Goodwin who appears on a screen to present the awards for heroism to those who inspire courage and bravery in us. An elaborate jungle set forms over that to reveal Tarzan, who swings through the trees. Finally a curtain crashes down and the Chinese army takes over the theatre in a display of power with Shang and Mulan.

Beauty and the Beast - New Show at Animation Theatre

The Voyage of the Little Mermaid closes down on January 1, 2019 in preparation for an all new stage production of DIsney's Beauty and the Beast. While the original show is a Hollywood Studios classic, a whole new take on the production featuring songs from the original 1991 animated classic, the Tony award winning Broadway musical, and the 2017 live action film mend together as the tale as old as time comes to life in a way never seen before. In addition, The Voyage of the Little Mermaid theatre will be expanded into a 500 seat theatre, taking up space from previously backstage areas, along with taking over the previous Star Wars Launch Bay. The current theatre area will be totally transformed into a theatre lobby, while the Star Wars Launch Bay is totally transformed into the grand Animation Theatre.

Beauty and the Beast - An Enchanted Classic - New Show at Animation Theatre
Journey inside a magical music box as you enjoy the story of Beauty and the Beast in this 90 minute retelling of the classic film with state of the art projection, magical sets, enchanting puppets, and astounding special effects as we learn how Belle and the Beast fall in love from the woman who made it happen.
Overture

Scene 1 - Prologue
An old woman appears on the stage, telling the story of a young prince who lived in a shining castle. As she tells the story, she pulls out an old music box, turning it and opening doors and making things pop out, depicting the actions in the story. As she finishes with the words "For who could ever learn to love a beast?" she disappears down a trapdoor as the curtain rises on a poor provincial town.
Scene 2 - Belle
Belle walks out of her cottage, dreaming of more than her provincial life as she goes about her routine and the townspeople judge her.
Scene 3 - Gaston Flirts
Gaston flirts with Belle and attempts to woo her, insulting her father as he does and enraging her before a blast from her home makes her run off towards it.
Scene 4 - How Does a Moment Last Forever
A workshop filled with zany machines rises from the stage as Maurice, Belle's father, sings as he works. Belle runs in and the two converse.
Scene 5 - Off to Market
Maurice prepares to leave for the market and heads off. He gets lost in the forest and is chased by a group of wolves.
Scene 6 - Into the Castle
Maurice comes upon a castle and takes shelter. He is spied upon by a group of objects who reveal themselves and make him feel welcome before the Beast barges in and threatens Maurice.
Scene 7 - Belle (Reprise)
Gaston comes along, flirting with a group of girls before going off to propose to Belle. She refuses and slips off, furious at even the idea of being "Madame Gaston"
Scene 8 - Belle Arrives at the Castle
Belle comes across Lefou, who found her father's scarf in the forest and refuses to give it back. Belle, worried for her father, runs off to the forest, coming upon the castle and exploring.
Scene 9 - Belle Takes Maurice's Place
Belle finds Maurice held prisoner in a prison cell. The Beast comes upon them and threatens Belle. To free her father, Belle demands the Beast take her instead.
Scene 10 - Home
The Enchanted Objects introduce themselves to Belle and give her a bedroom, letting her breathe while she laments her situation.
Scene 11 - Gaston
We move to a tavern and see Gaston depressed. Lefou and the villagers perform a grand number before Maurice barges in, screaming about a Beast that took Belle. Gaston and the villagers laugh him out and Gaston and Lefou begin forming a plan.
Scene 12 - Be Our Guest
Back at the castle, we come in the middle of an argument as Beast demands Belle come down for dinner. Belle refuses and the Beast throws a tantrum before leaving. Belle peaks out of the doorway and sees Lumiere, who asks if there's anything he can do. Belle states that she actually is hungry and to Cogsworth's chagrin, Lumiere brings her to the kitchen for a multi-course showstopper.
Scene 13 - The West Wing
Belle sneaks off at the end of the number and finds herself in the West Wing and coming across the Rose. The Beast finds her and screams at her and Belle runs off in terror, promise or no promise she could not stay there anymore.
Scene 14 - If I Can't Love Her
The Beast mourns his situation, knowing that with his monstrous appearance he could never find love.
Scene 15 - Wolf Attack
Belle runs through the forest before the group of wolves that attacked Maurice chase her. The Beast saves her and Belle brings him back to the castle and cares for him.
Scene 16 - Argument
While Belle tends to the Beast's wounds, they argue about who's fault it was. As an olive branch, Belle thanks the Beast for saving her.
Scene 17 - Something There
We see a montage of moments with Belle and the Beast as they being falling in love without knowing it.
Scene 18 - Human Again
Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, Chip, Cogsworth, Plumette, and Madame de Garderobe sing about what they will do when they once more become human.
Scene 19 - Beauty and the Beast
Belle and the Beast meet for dinner and a dance in the climactic moment of the show.
Scene 20 - The Beast Sets Belle Free
On the castle balcony, the Beast gives Belle an enchanted mirror that allows her to see whatever she wishes. She sees her father, sick and dying in a forest and the Beast lets Belle go, forever.
Scene 21 - Evermore
The Beast, fully in love with Belle, mourns his loss but says he will wait for her, even if has to remain a monster forever.
Scene 22 - A Change in Me
Belle finds her father and tells him all about the Beast. She then says that her experience has changed her for the better.
Scene 23 - Gaston Reveals His True Colors
Gaston barges in on the scene, taking Maurice and throwing him in an asylum unless Belle marries him. To prove her father isn't insane, Belle shows the Beast in the mirror.
Scene 24 - The Mob Song
The townspeople are in a fear filled mob now and Gaston riles them up to kill the Beast.
Scene 25 - The Battle
The entire castle goes insane as the enchanted objects defend the castle. Gaston goes up to the West Wing to kill the Beast. They fight and the Beast almost kills Gaston when Belle stops them. In his brief open moment, Gaston stabs the Beast in the back and gets caught off balance, falling off the castle balcony to his death.
Scene 26 - Transformation
Belle holds the Beast in her arms as he dies. With his final breath, Belle whispers "I love you" just as the final petal of the rose falls. The spell breaks and the Beast becomes human once more.
Scene 27 - Beauty and the Beast (Finale)
The enchanted objects become human and reunite. Belle and the now human Beast come together in a grand dance as rose petals fall from the ceiling in a grand finale.

The Magic of Disney Animation - New Meet and Greet Experience

Taking the place of Disney Junior - Live on Stage is this all new advanced Meet and Greet experience. You never know who you'll meet in The Magic of Disney Animation, from Mickey Mouse himself to the newest stars of Disney such as Moana or Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps. It all starts when guests walk into the building and through an extensive queue that takes them through the history of Walt Disney Animation. At the end, guests are escorted into a white room and, with elaborate projection effects and 2.5-D effects they're transported to the location of their meet and greet and led in to meet their character.

Movie Dreams - Magical Moment at Echo Lake

Echo Lake comes alive as fountains dance to famous movie themes and songs. Night brings even more magic as a world of color is created with water and light.

Hooray for Hollywood! - New Daytime Stage Show

Mickey and Minnie celebrate the magic of the Hollywood That Never Was and Always Will Be, a state of mind and a celebration of the magic of cinema in a grand stage show in front of the Chinese Theatre.

Dancers in costumes reminiscent of classic film roles begin this celebration of movies.​

Mickey and Minnie appear with the final notes of the opening, talking about the magic of the movies and how they are made. Mickey and Minnie call out for some friends and a giant fanfare.​

Action​

Mickey and Minnie run out, costumes changed to 40s adventure wear and they talk about the fearsome action. An amazing stunting performance ensues with the sounds of trumpets and a whip.​

Paint the Night - New Electrical Parade
For the first time, a night parade will run through the streets of Disney's Hollywood Studios with Paint the Night. Tinkerbell and Sorcerer Mickey combine their powers to make a joyous celebration as the streets are painted in enchanting colors. This parade will copy existing units from Hong Kong and Disneyland, while also adding its own floats to the procession.

While the float is a near direct copy of the Anaheim, small twinkling LEDs are added to the bar making Tinkerbell fly to give the illusion of pixie dust behind her.​

Instead of candelabras, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, Cogsworth (lit statue figures), and the Beast (fur character) trail behind her on moving platforms.​

Lights, Camera, Dreams! A Symphony of Stars
The Chinese Theatre comes to life in this nighttime spectacular filled with the magic of the movies in Lights, Camera, Dreams! A Symphony of Stars as guests are transported into the world of the movies.

The sounds of crew prepping a studio leads to a director yelling "Lights, Camera, Action!" as pyro bursts and numerous clips of both classic and new films fly out of the theatre.​

A skull appears on the theatre as a treasure map unfolds and clips of scenes from the Pirates franchise ensues, before a large boulder rolls by, transforming the theatre into a tribute to the Indiana Jones franchise​

The sounds of the main theme come back and the theatre shows numerous film clips, zooming out to reveal they make up the classic Disney castle opening as fireworks launch and a spectacular finale ensues. With the last notes, the director from the opening yells "Aaaaaaaand cut!" as the lights turn back on.​

Lights, Camera, Dreams!​

Fantasmic! Update
Fantasmic will receive a full update to bring it up to date with it's contemporaries, while still remaining it's own show. New technology such as projection mapping on the mountain, new fountains, and a new dragon.


The show will remain the same, up to the bubbles scene. In it's place will three new scenes, centered around Friend Like Me, Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, and Let It Go.

Friend Like Me is a near identical copy of it's Disneyland counterpart. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo features Fairy Godmother and Cinderella and features a spectacular effect in which Cinderella's rags are transformed into a ballgown using projection mapping and an amazing quick change in front of guests eyes. Finally, Elsa freezes the lake and creates her castle, projected on the mountain to the sounds of Let it Go.

Following this, a segment featuring Moana will replace the Pocahontas segment, depicting the battle with Te Ka and Moana restoring Te Fiti. This moves into the Beauty and Romance segment, featuring Aladdin and Jasmine on a flying carpet along with Aurora and Philip, Belle and the Beast, and Snow White and the Prince. The segment ends and moves to a tightened up villains segment, now with The Evil Queen transforming into an Old Hag, Jafar, Gaston, Chernabog, and Maleficent.

Finally, Steamboat Willie will be entirely redone on a more grand scale, befitting a finale for a show as grand and spectacular as Fantasmic.

Close to 30 minutes of Fireworks, Lasers, Fire Effects, Fountains, Drones And much more...come spread the magic as we celebrate 50 years of enchantment and open new windows to new dreams, Dreamfinder and Figment will take you on a journey of imagination, dreams and Discovery as we look back at the discoveries and history Epcot and other Disney classics to a unique orchestral soundtrack as well as the music from your favorite Disney movies

It’s essentially a mix of World Of Color, IGNITE, And a really large fireworks show


And add a Symphony in the Stars like fireworks show to Lights Camera Dreams, And You’ve got a masterpiece
