Ok, that's sort of a dumb title to name, but whatever..lol..I have plenty of questions to ask, and need some help about what to do..Here it goes.

1) Is Disney currently having open-call auditions every thursday? Meaning would I just show up to one, or would I have to interview first, and then go to an audition?

2) What days are Traditions on? Cause since i'm still in high school, I would only be allowed to work on saturdays and sundays? And I dont know if this matters or not, but i'm 18 as well.

3) Also what days do usually the training for characters take place on?

4) And basically would Disney hire me, even though i'm still in high school (senior) and available on the weekends?

I'm basically trying to get my foot in the door early so I won't have to wait the ENTIRE summer waiting..I want to get going ASAP if possible.. Feedback would be appreciated! AIM at OHSDustnTDust if you'd like as well. Thanks!

if you are only avalable for the weekends. I doulbt they will hire you. You typicaly have to work at least 5 months full time in order to go part time in entertainment. Unless you are in a much needed hiehgt range then i think you are out of luck.

That is not true, and I know that for a fact...no offense. I mean to be part-time you only have to do 2 days a week. Btw..spell much figment?

Look Hiss, don't be criticizing people who are trying to help. This is your what, third time trying to get into Entertainment? At least Mecha made it THROUGH the audition and into the department. I started out as Part Time, but they're not going to be as willing to hire someone who can only give them weekends.

Honestly Hiss, how many more times do we have to go through this. Just give up for now and try on when you not in High School anymore..

haha.that makes me laugh..actually I auditioned once, and the only reason I didn't get it was because I was a FRESHMEN in high school, and I was 16..I gave it my all, and I did pretty damn good if I may say so. And btw..why you gotta be so harsh towards me? But i'm not gonna really worry about it, cause I'll get my job soon, and when I do..i'll let you know...Maybe i'll see you around..

Doesn't matter, I have a friend who is 17 and in the company and was in high school. But, what i'm curious about is if you did "damn good" (which actually, it should be "damn well" since we're getting picky on grammar and spelling) why didn't you even make it into the pool? Hmm.

P.S.-Don't knock other member's spelling, when your grammar is apalling. ::rolleyes::

Well to be totally honest with you who would hire a 16 year-old still in high school about 45 minutes away from Disney? And I dont know if you know this or not, but umm.."damn good" does make sense..as does "damn well", but I chose to say "damn good" instead..wow! I guess the reason for me not being chosen in 2005 was because of it being January, and me being a freshmAn in high school. Look I know how to dance. I've been in many musicals, and productions in which i've had to dance, act, and sing. I guess we Floridians don't know how to spell as "WELL" as those New Yorkas.

It might make sense, but it's a grammatical no go. If you remove "damn" from the sentence, you're saying "I did good." That might sound ok to you (honestly, it does to me too) but your high school English teacher would probably wince a little.

Good luck in your career aspirations, by the way. :)

Why would distance be a matter, o its not. If you were what they were looking for then you would of been thrown in the pool weather you can dance or not. And if you say you can "dance" then you would of been placed in the pool and they would utalized you in some way shape or form. And, umm yeah thats real mature of you to um say something about some spelling just because of where they are from, thats real low and VERY immature!

No offence, but i have to deal with enough drama queens at my job. Do we need more? :sohappy::lol:

I'll let you in on a tip on audtioning. I can't dance. In fact I can't do it at all.

But it was my animation that got me in. if you mess up your dance routines, just act like you know what you are doing and have a good time. Also auditioning for puppets helps. But they are tough on that. I've been doing puppets for 13 years and only got a blue. I'm a yellow now.

Because of it being January? Um, that doesn't matter. If you do well enough, you'd be put in the pool no matter what. Stop making excuses for not getting in.

I was hired initially as part time, weekend availability, 5'10 1/2" Tigger height :)

Truer words have never been said.

I was in the pool for 3 months, and one night, my dad called me, telling that Disney Casting had left me a message :)

geez, no wonder people in entertainment get such a bad rep....

lol, that aside though....hiss, you have asked the same things over and over and it gets old- the answers aren't going to change....

yes it is possible to work part-time weekends in high school, i met plenty of people who did that. THe month you audition doesn't matter- disney needs people in entertainment pretty badly right now. if you didn't get in, don't make excuses, just re-evaluate yourself and try again. i'm sure there are many people in entertainment who didn't get in the first time, practiced and brushed up on their skills, and made it in later. character training is 5 days in a row, and there are numerous days that traditions is offered. go to disneyauditions.com and it will tell you everything you need to know about audition dates and times as well as the interview.....and then, drop this all from the boards- you're just asking for criticism

PS-
if you're that desperate to start working for disney right now, see if maybe you can get in somewhere in a different department, and then transfer to entertainment later (possibly in the summer when you're done with school). If you are borderline at an audition, the fact that you are already employed with disney, been through traditions etc, might be enough to give you the push in.... just a thought though
