Enough Tapestry. So what is the new parade? Some answers.

Well well well folks. Seems like our sister boards DisBoards.com have posted something that'll intrest a few here.

FIRST: This has been done by The Scoop, so there is his proper recognition. Second, ALL IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. For all we know, non of this might happen and Disney might just put Light Magic on parade.

What gets me is the Epcot "repurposing"...

Uh oh...

If and when this "repurposing" happens, it will MAKE or BREAK Epcot TO THE HIGHEST OF DEGREES!!...

Let's hope that if and when a repurposing happens, it takes it back to the goold old glory days of EPCOT Center... Or if not, then buckle your seatbelts kiddies, we'll be in for a bumpy ride, and it won't be Test Track!...

In a tribute to minimalism the parade will consist of one person wearing a high vis vest wearing a sorcerers hat playing classic Disney tunes on a kazoo while walking backwards juggling refillable mugs filled with pins.

Through independent analsis and hours of log time, we have confirmed that Rob will be working ToD for the next 80 years to pay off his hospital bills. :lol: :animwink: j/k Rob. This guy's creditable so I think what we'll see will be a worthly sucessor to Tapestry.

I just have to say that I am SOOOO incredibly happy that Tapestry is leaving! Not only the worst parade ever conceived by Disney, but also with the ABSOLUTE MOST ANNOYING MUSIC of all time!!!

That d*mn song would get stuck in my head for HOURS!!!

I for one LOVED TON and it`s music,infact The music gives me goose bumps And While I don`t think that TOD was as good as TON ,I liked it . Let`s just hope the new parade is as good or better then TON!

Lets keep in mind here that the article said that this entertainment production may not be billed as a parade. I think this could lead one to believe the spectacle may be more complex than an parade especially with the mention of sets instead of just plain old floats.

Also, parades at World Showcase really cramp things up. Lets hope, they have found a better route or a different venue for the presentation.

On another note, what, if anything, is going to be done with Illuminations:ROE? The show is going on 4 years old from what I can recall. It was also probably one of the most viewed Disney park shows ever for the time it has been presented simply because of the high attendance numbers of the Millenium Celebration. I would think there would be an update or change out here too.

Wouldn't it be cool if whatever the new "show/Parade" is going to be would also incorporate the lagoon and all it has to offer as a stage? Kind of a Fantasmic on Steroids is what I am getting at I guess. Fantasmic is my favorite show and to do a differently themed fantasmic-like show on a larger scale would thrill me to death. Just imagine what can be done by drawing on the cultures of the World for imagery and emotion? I think it would make a nice epilogue so to speak the current show after all .....

Right on Darthdarrel!!! I too loved both parades and the music. I have worn out 3 tapes of the music. Hope I can buy a CD this trip. Maybe it will last longer. 6 DAYS til take off!!!

While the Millennium may have been a draw for Reflections of Earth, likewise, Reflections of Earth was a draw for the Millennium. It was the best thing to come from the Celebration and that is why it is still popular--just because it is an incredible show. Expect the next reincarnation of Reflections to be similar--for one, this was not a cheap show to put on, so they will not have a show that does not use its effects; let's face it, it would not be safe to have actors putting on a show with those effects; you can feel the heat from its effects all around World Showcase Promenade. People will expect the next show to be at least as incredible as the current--tough, but it can be done.
