"Enhanced" Fast Pass

As far as FP works, the system distributes only a certain number of them per return time. So if people rushed Soarin' (like they usually do), the return time will go up faster than it would at another attraction, since Soarin' is distributing more FPs more quickly.

As for when the people with FPs return, the CM at the "merge" of the line most likely count a certain number of people, maybe 30 or so, and then switch to the other line. The lines end up merging together from there. Of course if there are no people in the FP line, it's all standby people, but I don't think the number of people in the FP line has any bearing on the ratio of FP to standby line people admitted. I think it's 50/50. Other attractions may very well have their own loading procedures though.

I will tell you TT needed some help with the FP system last Friday. It took us about 50 minutes to get throught the ride with FP's. The FP return line was out the door. The CM was letting about 10 FP's through and the rest was stand-by. The stand-by wait was shorter. I saw a family walk in about the smae time we got in line with our FP's and they got in 2 preshows ahead of us. Does a computer tell the CM's how many people to let in from FP & stand-by?

Eh, I'm a little fuzzy on the precise merge process. I've worked alongside attractions CM's, but I've never actually been Fastpass trained. I do know that the ratio of Fastpass/Standby admitted at merge is supposed to favor Fastpass by quite a bit.

I always figured that since they do use those red cards that are sent through the lines to get wait times on both FP and stand-by that the computer automatically tells the CM's how many should be going through the lines.
