One Little Spark...
Ok...

I thought I'd be done with Disney after this trip.

Isn't that the case each time? You think you've had enough? But you still go back?

Well, two things have changed my mind.

First is our experience on the Cruise Line. It was fantastic, and we both enjoyed it thoroughly. I'd love a longer Cruise experience, and am right now debating between doing a few short cruises throughout the year (3 - 4 day) or doing one LONG one that will be amazing for both of us, where we go on a positioning Cruise through the Panama Canal.

And then, the second was this...

Disney Commercials sometimes get to me, and this one did. I want to go back, to see WDW once more, and for us to enjoy everything we have once more!

So, I'm starting this Trip Planning Thread, because, I'm already resigned, we are going back to something Disney next trip. Exactly what? Well...that's the point of this thread!

Lets make it up as we go along, shall we?

Ok...a bit late this year, but next year is now booked.

No August trip for me (first time in 4 years). Instead, I'm going to keep the kid for the whole summer, and we are going back to the World in October for the kid's 10th birthday! And, the rest of the family is joining us!

So, the plan is her mom, sister, step-father, grandmother, uncle (12 years old), aunt (my sister) and her fiance (by then husband) will be going with us!

The kiddo and I will stay in a room together, but we won't be alone on the trip! The plan is...

Day 1 - Early flight in, shuttle to the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal, day at Universal
Day 2 - Universal / IOA / Blue Man Group
Day 3 - Universal / IOA / Universal Halloween Party
Day 4 - Breakfast at Hard Rock, Limo (or other transit) to Port Canaveral, board the Disney Dream
Day 5 - Nassau
Day 6 - Castaway Cay
Day 7 - At Sea
Day 8 - Debark the Dream, take DCL transit to Pop Century. Day at Disney
Day 9 - Disney Parks, Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party
Day 10 - Disney Parks
Day 11 - Disney Parks
Day 12 - Disney Parks
Day 13 - Disney Parks, late flights back home

It works well because it covers two weekends AND a teacher workday (no school), so the kids aren't going to be out for very long at all...

The plans may change a bit between now and then, but the important thing is...it's booked...it's done. I'm going back!

"The road goes ever on and on. Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the road has gone. And I must follow if I can. Pursuing it with eager feet, until it joins some larger way. Where many paths and errands meet. And wither then?" Yes, I can say -- Walt Disney World today.

Tsk tsk tsk, that lady saluted with her left hand.....

Great commercial though, they really dress it up well!!

If you look closely, the editors mirror-imaged the shot of the female CM. (The nametag is on the wrong side and the text is backwards)

Most likely it was done to reduce the feeling of a continuity error of the captain and the CM seemingly walking in the same direction because of the angles each was filmed. (just like a car filmed going from right-to-left on the screen inter-cut with a car filmed going from left-to right would give the subconscious feeling that they are about to collide) The backwards salute is an unfortunate byproduct of the image reversal.

Okay, I can give you that. But she still tilts her head down towards her hand. The hand is supposed to come to your brow. Let me have my knit-picky moment even if it was just some person giving a civy salute.

We are going the 4th-11th of October for our son's 10th birthday. What dates will you be there? We are booked at PORS right now, but if they don't come out with free dining we might switch to Pop.
Very excited about making a return trip again in 2014!
