Heh

The website is wonky as heck. It crashed (was overwhelmed) over and over again. I ended up with tickets on the Northside viewing area though, across from the Eye. I also got a second pair (if we decide we like this better) off the Waterloo Bridge. Tickets closer to Westminster were sold out already, or at least unavailable according to the website, but I'm happy with these. We can hoof it across the foot bridge from Victoria Gardens if we choose the first set of tickets, and still have a great view of the eye.

I'm sure your viewing selection will be fine. This all sounds like so much fun! :cat:

So you are coming to Europe :) Be aware that there are a lot of fences in DLP, at least until April 12th when they are celebarting 25 years!

Hello, llike @FlaggNL already mentioned, quite some refurbs are going on at this time in the light of the preparation of DLP's 25 years celebrations. But to come back to your estimation : 4-5 hours for Disney Studios will be enough. Also stayed quite some times at the New York hotel, it is, in my honest opinion, not bad actually. Don't quite know about the "New York feel" as a Belgian inhabitant but it was nice to stay in :). Plus it's only a 10 min walk from both parks. Consider making a stop in the Disneyland Hotel. Even though it will probably be not a grand as in WDW or DL, it has a cosy feel and smell to it ;). Anyway, looking forward to your European experiences to celebrate a new year with your adorable kiddo !

Lots of construction walls, not a big deal. Not much different, I'd imagine, than visiting WDW the past few years (or the coming few years, which is partially why we are skipping WDW this year....too much going on).

The Disneyland Hotel was a bit too pricey, but New York seemed a reasonable offering. I'll admit, the ability to walk to the parks was one of the reasons I chose it, however, proximity to Paris doesn't help...it is a tad far out, and the parks close early, so doing a split day is rather, difficult, logistically.

At least that's what I'm seeing from my research.

From what I am to understand, I should plan about 45 mins of commute to get from the DLP train station to Paris...

Welcome to the cold cold north....Iceland hotel booked.

This actually isn't the hotel I wanted, I wanted the Center Hotel, but it is now booked up for that timeframe (really fast!). So, if you are going to do an overnight in Iceland for a similar trip, book early!

And, London is done.

Also, not one of the hotels I was seeking, but I need the placeholders. The location is good though, near Charing Cross and Trafalgar Square.

And now the planning is done.

You get an A for your persistence with all the issues you had securing multiple reservations/tickets, etc. I think your daughter will nominate you for Father of the Year! And as for you thinking about what to get her for Christmas, I know you'll find something nice. But I also think that the best Christmas present is the two of you being together, as neither one of you get to see each other often.
