Hi All,

Dunno if this is the right place to post this but hopefully i'll get some help :)

My fiance and I got engaged at Disney this past September and we're lucky enough to be going back this June. While there, we wanted to do our engagement portrait session however I'm not sure if this can be done or who to even contact to inquire about it.

Does anyone have any info on this?

Thanks!

Stacey

You need to contact Disney's Photographic Services. I know like 18 months ago you called the same number as the Disney Florist to get them on the phone. Just make sure you do NOT get Photopass. You want the professional photographic services. These are the people who do the wedding pictures, etc. We had family portraits done in the Magic Kingdom in Dec. 07. It wasn't cheap but well worth every dime. The portraits are incredible!

Go here. I just found this.

Congrats!! My husband & I did this - our portraits are in our Disney at home wedding album on this site if you want to take a look. It'll give you some idea of what you'll get.

We chose MK for our portraits but they will let you choose any park. Wear comfy shoes - they run you around a LOT! We were sweating. It was a ton of fun though. They give you a really cute album included in the cost, plus a proof book. (Unless things have changed in the past 2 years).

You're very lucky to have done them at MK because when i called the other day they said they don't do engagement sessions at MK anymore :( The lady said something about the fact that other people are always in the shots and they can't ask people to move out of the way since everyone is technically paying to be in the park.

awww! That's terrible about the MK photoshoot. We did find that a lot of our shots had people in them, however a lot of them were fine. They took us into areas that the general public couldn't walk into for many of them. Plus we did them right at the park open, so it wasn't as crowded. I'm sorry you can't get your pictures done there. You know what though, I've seen them done at the resorts too and they are beautiful!

:( I saw your pictures and even the ones with some other people in them turned out great! The photographer did a great job! We were also thinking Epcot somewhere around the world....but Epcot isn't our favorite park which is why we wanted MK.

Any other suggestions where we could go? We want to avoid a resort because we want a disney "symbol" to be in the pics (ie. the castle) lol.

Did they get rid of all the park photo shoots or just MK? I would think if people being in the background was an issue for them, that they would have gotten rid of them all. It's all so weird to me that they did that. If you do the session at The Grand Floridian or The Polynesian I think at least the castle will be in the background of some of the pictures.

I've seen sessions done at Epcot and they are also amazing. If you're still able to do that one, I would consider it. MK is our favorite park too - it was an easy choice for us. I am bummed for other people that they took it away.

I'm a sucker for wedding pics, so I had to check your out. Definitely beautiful and a great idea. I'll have to keep some of those ideas in mind when I start the "official" planning someday! Enjoy your 1st anniversary celebrations!!!

Thanks so much! I'm a sucker for wedding pics too - haha. I got so many ideas from other people here when I was planning. It's so fun to have a Disney wedding at home because you get the best of both worlds. Plus, I was surprised at how helpful Disney was w/my planning, considering I wasn't having my wedding there! :)
