Engagement - Disney Style

Hello, this is my first post.

I was curious if anyone could lend me any info on this at all.

My girlfriend and I have been dating for 1 1/2 yrs and have been talking about taking a trip of our own (just us...no parents or friends) to Disney World in January of '08. Since by that time we'll have been together for just over 3 years I have considered using this trip to ask her to marry me. Is there anyone down in Florida at WDW that can be contacted to set-up any special activities for the occasion? This may be out of the question, but I have dreamed of popping the question after or during the Wishes fireworks show one evening on the steps of the castle? Am I crazy or can this be done??

No bones here.... just a counter point to yours... Not knocking your situation at all...:D
All I know is at 19, I was FAR from looking to get married.
And I think you proved to each his/her own. What works for one, may not for the next...

Don't wish the diapers away to fast. That's one of those things that in a strange way will be missed. Especially when you've waited in a very long line for an attraction and your about to board and your little one says, "I have to go R E A L bad..." A diaper would have been great! :brick:

lol -- good thing I go during value -- there are no lines. I'll take teens over diapers any day!

Thank you to everyone for their encouraging and stories...i liked reading from them. To those who said "why wait until 2008?"...it's because we're still in college and we want to wait to get married until we're out of school.

No matter how much you plan (and I am an obsessive planner), sometimes things don't go as planned. I completely ruined my husband's proposal plans and he was forced to improvise. It wasn't a WDW proposal, it was here in Chicago. He still hasn't actually asked me to marry him but since we've been married 21 years, I suppose I understood what he meant when he said, "I picked something up for you today" as he handed me the opened ring box as were were traveling 65 MPH on the Kennedy Expressway passing the Harlem Avenue exit ramp traveling back into the city.

Plan, plan, plan but be ready to improvise should the need arise.

BTW, we've used Jane at Gifts of a Lifetime for events and she is great.
