Why are they taking everything out of PI?! Has there been a specific reason for this?

Sorry if everyone knows this but i am just not up to date on the current situation on PI as i thought it was ok the way it was.

As with most things there is no one specific reason why PI is being changed there are sever issues that are being addressed. The reasons vary from ADA compliance, crowd flow, security, as well as poorly performing retail outlets and clubs. Phase 1 will deal with all of the aforementioned issues with the exception of the clubs. From what we have heard Phase 2 will involve the removal and re-theming of some if not all of the clubs.

It's called improvement...or at least in the mind of Disney it will create a better entertainment experience with the changes.

I would think part of it is the close proximity of the new Saratoga Springs and how noisy late night bar hopping/concerts could possibly adversely affect paying guests staying just across the lake

PI was built with the Disney Institute accomodations exactly where Saratoga Springs now stands. So, saying that because there are rooms there now changed things, really doesn't make sense.
