I'm a writer and freelancer but I just filled out a ton of applications for Disney and similar companies. Looking for something more regular.

What does everyone here do for a living? Any Disney employees? You can be vague if anonymity is your thing.

Banking call center supervisor is the main job here for me, but I'm also a part-time travel agent (specializing in Disney vacations, of course).

Best of luck, I've done some freelance writing and correspondent work for newspapers... tough to make it a real go as a full time gig from what I've seen.

I would love to write for Disney. I've taken Journalism, creative writing, screen writing, but it's too hard a field to get into. I'm the student that actually enjoyed writing college essays and who doesn't mind that really long analysis on a poem for English. I love writing and would love to do nothing but write, but like I said, just too hard. I'm a student, so I'm going into Business administration. I plan to do the college program and hopefully get somewhere with Disney after I graduate. I'm thinking of applying for the next Mom's panel. I'll be old enough (even though I'm not a mom) and hablo español, which they're looking for.

Good luck! I love writing too. :)

College in Pittsburgh called Robert Morris. It's about 10-15 minutes outside of Pittsburgh and 35 minutes from where I live. I'm on my Spring Break now until I go back on Saint Patty's day.
Nice. I was just wondering. I was thinking hospitality management for a while until I got a really good offer from a college near home to study Business Administration. Though they told me I could intern at one of the hotels down in Baltimore city if I wanted to get my feet wet in hospitality. But that's why I was wondering.

My spring break is in two weeks. Was thinking about spending a day in Hershey...go to Hershey park, compare it to Disney, ride Stormrunner...

You know, I've lived in PA ever since I was born and I have never been to Hershey Park. Only been to Kennywood in terms of Parks in PA. I have been to Hershey twice and it's a nice area and I love Chocolate World. Even has it's own omnimover ride which is a classic and could argue is in a better shape than most wdw rides right now.

You've never been to Hershey? Wow. Of course I've lived in Maryland my whole life and have never been to Ocean City, Six Flags, or any of the others...

Hershey is really nice. It gets advertised a lot down here. I went four years in a row for music competitions, but haven't been back in several years. I really want to take my brother. He's finally tall enough for everything and the biggest coaster he's been on is Everest, so I want to get him on some of the really wild stuff in Hershey. They're doing a "Springtime in the Park" special. For three weekends in a row this spring, it's open except for the water rides and passes are only $30 per person. You can't beat that. So as long as the weather's okay, we're going! It's about 2 hours from my house. I live really close to the PA border, so trips to Philly and other PA sites have not been out of the question over the years.

I have been to Hershey twice just not Hershey Park. Geez $30 per person vs what WDW charges is really astronomical when you look at it. That's nice of that your really trying to make your younger brother happy. Hope you go for your sake.

All this talk of PA.... I'm starting to get homesick! Moved here to Tampa from Northeast PA just over a year ago. One of our last stops in PA on the drive down was in Hershey, as a matter of fact. Had to ride Chocolate World one more time!

I've been to Hersheypark, Kennywood, Dorney, and Knoebels. Knoebels more times than I can count, a handful of times to both Dorney and Hershey, and just once to Kennywood on a trip out to Pittsburgh in my late teens.

Hershey's not bad, but if I remember correctly the food and beverage prices there seemed a little higher than other parks in terms of the actual value of size/portion. In fact, one of the things that bothered me most about Hershey was the market place at Chocolate World... the packaged candy in there was just as expensive, and sometimes more expensive, than buying it at a grocery store. When I think of getting it direct from Hershey, I expect to be saving something! (To be sure, they do run different specials and sometimes have closeout deals. You just gotta be careful).

Hershey's does have SOME deals. I remember getting my favorite candy (Rainbow Twizzlers) for $0.50 a pack last trip (they come in big packs).

I love Hershey park but I've never been to any of those others.

I've never been to the others, just to Hershey. I always get free candy at the end of the ride! Will check out those prices the next time I go. The last time I went I was 13 and prices were of no concern to someone who brought her mother along. Plus I went with my school and lunch was included. I'm really excited to go again. They've opened some new rides since I was last there.
