Are there any present or past cast members that could give me insight on how they came to work for Disney? I have been to the casting center, online to no avail! please help! I was told that a person seeking employment at disney needs to know someone on the inside to gain employment....any suggestions, comments are welcomed......
Frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, you need next to nothing for Disney to hire you except "reliable" transportation. You don't even need to have a grasp of the English language. It might be a sliver more difficult to get hired now than it was in the past, due to cut-backs, but there's really no way they're going to turn you down if you are able to speak and walk at the same time.

If you're looking for a "professional" salaried job at Disney, it's pretty difficult unless you meet their qualifications exactly. And even then Disney experience is helpful.

But if you're looking for an hourly role in the parks or hotels, it's pretty easy to get a job. Just go to Casting across from Downtown Disney. Though you need to be resident in Florida. They won't offer you anything until you're already there and ready to work.
Once you get a position, even if it's not one you want, you can apply to transfer to other positions after 6 months.

it's really not that hard.

If your applying t work as a cashier at your local supermarket, you walk in and ask for an application for a job.

Same thing here, walk into casting and apply for a job.

If they want to hire you they will give you a call back for an interview and place you where they need people. thats how i got my job.

It really is not as secretive as some people make it out to be, it is after all is said and done, a business.
