ENG is one of mine & DH's favorite Disney movies. I understand why there's not an attraction, due to it not being a huge hit. However I think it's underrated and should have been a bigger hit. It's hilarious. I'd love to see Kuzco & Kronk out for a M&G still. I missed them back when they used to be around.

I do to. Even if they don't have an attraction, you'd think they coulda little something to keep it's fans happy? The only ENG I have seen at Disney was on the cruise at the Disney Villains show!

Mark Dindal's Movies were the best..I enjoyed New Groove, Chicken Little & his other known work Cats Don't Dance...They have that great classic Tex Avery-ish humor that came at you every second. However, then there was the two things I didn't like...Kronk's New Groove & Emperors New School..That's when they were trying to hard...

Now..If you REALLY Want to know the real truth behind New Groove which was formerly called Kingdom of The Sun..Google "The Sweatbox" A neat documentary that showed how New Groove was to be more a Prince & The Pauper story with Owen Wilson & David Spade, More music from Sting that was to be with the movie, And an amazing clip of Eartha Kitt As Yzma singing about rising the Dead with Animatics, And much more..

How strange this thread should have been resurrected after so long! I actually watched the Emperor's New Groove last night for the first time in absolutely years and loved it. When I was watching it I was also thinking of the potential of basing a ride on the film. The rollercoaster type thing that transports them to the secret lab has great potential I think.

Just a note, box office success does not translate into attractions. If that was the case, many of the earlier Disney films including Pinocchio, Fantasia, Bambi, Alice and Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty (which almost convinced Walt to end the animation division of Disney) to name a few.

These all went on to become very profitable, but who's to say the same won't happen for TENG?

To further my point, Splash Mountain is arguably the biggest successful attraction based off a film that no one knows about today. So, it could happen. Although, it's probably not at the top of the list.

TENG is one of my favourite Disney films, it is just perfect.

I think for a ride, a Simpsons Ride style simulator would be perfect.
Seriously? A 10+-year old thread bump? Taking after me, eh? ;)

Hard to believe that when this thread first started...the first POTC film hadn't even been released yet.

Actually I was watching TENG the night before last and wondering why it hadn't been made into a ride, and then found this thread and resurrected it! :D
