EMH/Wristband question

How does getting a wristband work for EMH? Do you have to already be in the park during the day or can you show up in the evening close to when the hours are to start & get a wristband to stay?

Thanks!

Either way will work. You can even show up at the gates close to the end of EMH and still get in.

You need to have a valid park pass and the room key for EVERYONE in your party as they will be scanned (or at least inspected for the right code). Make sure everyone keeps their wristband on or they can't do the rides or see the shows.

Distribution of EMH wristbands starts 2 hours prior to the start of EMH. In other words, if the park closes to the public at 9:00 p.m., wristband distribution starts at 7:00 p.m.

That park will be open to WDW resort guests until midnight. You can show up at the park at 11:45 p.m. and still enter and get a wristband, for example.

Great thanks everyone! I was afraid if we didn't get there on time for a wristband we wouldn't be able to get in for the extra magic hours. We have someone in our party leaving early & so I was concerned about getting to the park on time after they left for the airport.

Are there sufficient wristbands for ALL resort guests or is there a limited number available thus restricting guest numbers in the park ???

No restrictions unlike E Ride Nights which had a 5000 limit and were sold on a first come, first serve basis. EVERYONE staying at a WDW or authorized resort (don't have the names off hand) and having a valid park pass and room card can get one. You must present them to get your wristband.

Why isn't it open to Premium ANNUAL Passes?

It is, if you are staying in one of these resorts...

Walt Disney World-owned resorts
Walt Disney World Dolphin & Swan Resorts
Hilton Resort at Downtown Disney
Shades of Green

It's a perk to say thank you for staying on site. Those who hold annual passes get different perks that others do not.

If you stay till normal closing ask a CM or two where the wrist bands are being given out. Back at the end of May at the MK either they had moved one of the locations, or the CM didn't know where they were giving them out. Its amazing how dark it can be in that park at night.
